Land set apart for an Improved-farm Special Settlement.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred by the one hundred and sixty-second section of "The Land Act, 1892," and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the block of land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby set apart and declared open for a special settlement.

SCHEDULE.

MANGAPOUA IMPROVED SMALL-FARM SETTLEMENT BLOCK.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 702 acres, more or less, being Sections Nos. 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, and 43, Block XI., Waitara Survey District, and Section No. 3, Block XII., Waitara Survey District; as the same is delineated on plan marked S.G. 26896, deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly; Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-seventh day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred by the one hundred and sixty-second section of "The Land Act, 1892," and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby declare that, from and after the date hereof, the Proclamation bearing date the nineteenth day of July, one

thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 63, page 1339, setting apart the land in the Schedule hereto for the Mangapoua Improved-farm Special Settlement, is hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 1,000 acres, more or less, being Sections Nos. 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, and 43, Block XI., Waitara Survey District, and Section Nos. 1, 3, and 5, Block XII., Waitara Survey District; as the same is delineated on plan marked S.G. 26896, deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Lands taken for River-protection Works in Cloudy Bay and Taylor Pass Survey Districts and the Borough of Blenheim.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken, under "The Public Works Act, 1894," and its amendments, for a certain work, to wit, the purpose of river-banking, in Omaka, Blocks III. and XVI., Taylor Pass and Cloudy Bay Survey Districts:

And whereas the Blenheim Borough Council has laid before the Governor a memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration, required by the said Act:

Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by "The Public Works Act, 1894," and of every other power and authority in any wise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are hereby taken for the purpose of river-protection works.
