Native Land Court Notices

Oct. 21.] THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE. 1915

Native Land Court Notices.

*"The Native Land Court Act, 1894."

IN THE NATIVE LAND COURT OF NEW ZEALAND,
AUCKLAND DISTRICT.

In the matter of "The Native Land Court Act, 1894," and of an application by Katarina te Waihanaea, under section 39 of the said Act, for the inclusion of the names of herself and her daughter, Rangiawhio te Waihanaea, as owners in Ohura South K No. 1 Block.

WHEREAS the said application was referred by me to the Native Land Court for inquiry and report, and such inquiry was held at Otorohanga, on the 17th day of August, 1897, before Walter Edward Gudgeon, Esq., a Judge of the said Court: And whereas, as the result of such inquiry, it appeared that an error had been made by the omission of the names of the said Katarina te Waihanaea and Rangiawhio te Waihanaea from the list of owners in the said block:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by section 39 aforesaid, I hereby order that the names of the said Katarina te Waihanaea and Rangiawhio te Waihanaea be included in the title to the said Ohura South K No. 1 Block, as the owners of one share each therein, and that the order of the Court be amended accordingly. And I direct that this order be published in the Gazette and Kahiti.

As witness my hand, this 7th day of October, 1897.

GEO. B. DAVY, Chief Judge.

*"The Native Land Court Act, 1894."

IN THE NATIVE LAND COURT OF NEW ZEALAND,
WELLINGTON DISTRICT.

In the matter of "The Native Land Court Act, 1894," and of an application by Tarewa Heremaia, under section 39 of the said Act, in respect of her share in the Taumatamahoe Block.

WHEREAS the said application was referred by me to the Native Land Court for inquiry and report, and such inquiry was held at Whanganui, on the 15th day of September, 1897, before Robert Ward, Esq., a Judge of the said Court: And whereas, as the result of such inquiry, it has been found that the said Tarewa Heremaia did not sell to the Crown her share in the said Taumatamahoe Block, and that such share was in error included in the award to the Crown on partition between the Crown and the non-sellers: And whereas the Crown has since the said partition purchased shares in the residue of the said block:

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers vested in me as Chief Judge of the said Court by section 39 aforesaid, I hereby order that the name of the said Tarewa Heremaia be placed on the list of names for the said residue, and that when partition is made thereof between the Crown and the non-sellers, the award to the Crown be reduced by 334 acres in respect of her share therein. Notice of this order to be given in the Gazette and Kahiti.

As witness my hand, this 8th day of October, 1897.

GEO. B. DAVY, Chief Judge.
