Additional Land set apart for an Improved-farm Special
Settlement.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred
by the one hundred and sixty-second section of "The
Land Act, 1892," and of all other powers and authorities
enabling me in this behalf, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of
Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do
hereby proclaim and declare that the block of land described
in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby set
apart and declared open for a special settlement.

SCHEDULE.

MANGATITI IMPROVED SMALL-FARM SETTLEMENT BLOCK.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing
by admeasurement 100 acres, more or less, being Section
No. 12, Block IX., Mount Cerberus Survey District: as the
same is delineated on plan marked S.G. 29890, deposited at
the Head Office of the Department of Lands and Survey,
at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly;
Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished
Order of Saint Michael and Saint George;
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over
Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its
Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the
said Colony, at the Government House, at
Wellington, this fourteenth day of October, in
the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and ninety-seven.

WHEREAS by the second section of "The Government
Loans to Local Bodies Act Amendment Act, 1891"
(herein termed "the said Act"), it is, amongst other things,
enacted that, before certain moneys therein mentioned shall
be expended upon any block of land, it shall be necessary
that the same be proclaimed as set apart for settlement:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of every power
and authority enabling me in this behalf, and for the pur-
poses of the said Act, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ran-
furly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do
hereby proclaim the block of land described in the Schedule
hereto as set apart for settlement.

SCHEDULE.

PORTION OF BLOCK II., WAIKAWA DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Southland Land District, containing
by admeasurement 307 acres 1 rood 28 perches, more or less,
being Sections Nos. 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34,
35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, 51,
52, 53, 54, 55, and 56, all of Block II., Waikawa Survey
District; as the same is delineated upon the plan marked
S.G. 36477, deposited in the Head Office, Department of
Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land
District, and thereon coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right

towards the north by the Huiaroa No. 3 Block; towards
the east by the Tauwhareparae Block; and towards the
south and west by the Waipaoa Blocks: as the same is
