GREYMOUTH WHARF—continued.
Goods for Transhipment.
When goods are landed on wharf ex ship, and redelivered to other ships,
they will be charged 2s. 6d. per ton, according to ship's manifest, or
by weight or measurement, at the option of the Department, including
wharfage, handling, and one week's storage, after which storage will
be charged for.
Goods transhipped into lighters or vessels from vessels lying alongside the
wharves, per ton
Cranage.
For use of steam-crane on wharf or in yard, per ton (minimum charge, 15s.)
Exceptional cargoes (as may be determined by the Railway Department) to
be charged per day, or otherwise by special agreement.
The charge for cranage does not include the cost of haulage to the crane
when the goods have been previously deposited at a distance therefrom.
Minimum charge for use of 12-ton steam-crane
Storage.
On goods not removed within 12 working-hours, per day, per ton
On timber not removed within one week, per 100 superficial feet, per day
The working-hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on week-days.
No ship shall discharge or take in cargo at other times without written notice being
given by the ship's officer to the Wharfinger, under a penalty of £5 for each offence.
The captain or agent of each vessel must supply the Wharfinger with a correct
copy of the vessel's manifest prior to discharging any cargo, under a penalty of £5
for each offence.
