Kauri Timber, Auckland, for Sale by Public Auction.

NOTICE is hereby given that the under-mentioned
kauri timber, standing upon Crown land in Blocks
II. and III., Maungataniwha Survey District, Mangonui
County, will be offered for sale at the District Lands and
Survey Office, Auckland, on Friday, the 8th day of
October, 1897, at 11 a.m.

Note.—This timber is situated on the head branches of a
stream flowing into the Oruaiti River, the confluence being
about three miles from Mongonui.

Terms, cash for each separate clump; or, if taken by one
purchaser, then half cash and balance in twelve months.
Two years given for removal of timber.

Land in Southland for Selection on Lease in Perpetuity.

NOTICE is hereby given that the under-mentioned land
will be open for selection on lease in perpetuity, at
this office, under the provisions of "The Land Act, 1892,"
on and after Thursday, the 14th October, 1897.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.

Southland County.—Wendonside Survey District.

The land is level; soil fair, with shingle bottom; it is
covered with silver-tussock. The distance from Riversdale
is about three miles.

Reserves in Parkville Township, Wellington Land District,
for Lease.

NOTICE is hereby given that the under-mentioned
reserves will be offered for lease at the Public
Hall, Eketahuna, on Thursday, the 21st October, 1897, at
2 o'clock p.m.

SCHEDULE.

Terms of Lease.—A deposit of a half-year's rent and £1 1s.
lease-fee must be paid on the fall of the hammer.

No compensation shall be claimed by the lessees, nor shall
any be allowed by the Government, for improvements
effected by the lessee, nor for any other cause.

Possession will be given on day of sale.

The leases shall be for the terms specified, but shall be
subject to termination by twelve months' notice in the event
of the land being required by the Government.

NOTICE is hereby given that licenses have been issued
to the under-mentioned persons authorising them to
appear as Agents in the Native Land Court for the year
ending the 31st day of December, 1897, subject to the pro-
visions of section 20 of "The Native Land Court Act, 1894,"
