Land reserved as Endowments for Primary Education.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS under the provisions of "The Land Act, 1892," the reserves enumerated in the first column of the
Schedule hereto were temporarily reserved as endowments for primary education upon the date specified in the
second column of the said Schedule, and set opposite the descriptions of the said reserves:

And whereas notices of such reservations were laid upon the table of each House of the General Assembly: And
whereas the two Houses have passed resolutions, upon the dates specified in the third column, approving, in terms of the
two hundred and thirty-eighth section of "The Land Act, 1892," of the lands being permanently set aside as endowments
for primary education:

Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance of
the power and authority vested in me by "The Land Act, 1892," do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands enume-
rated in the first column of the Schedule hereto shall be reserved as endowments for primary education.

and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this first
day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven.
