A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken, under "The Public Works Act, 1894," for a certain public work, to wit, the construction of roads in connection with the Thames Valley and Rotorua Railway, Putaruru-Rotorua Section:

And whereas a plan has been prepared in duplicate, showing accurately the extent and position of the said lands, and the Minister for Public Works has recommended the Governor to issue a Proclamation taking the same, as required by the said Act:

Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by "The Public Works Act, 1894," and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are hereby taken for the purposes of the construction of the said roads.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the twenty-fifth section of "The Reserves and Crown Lands Disposal and Enabling Act, 1896," and the two hundred and forty-third section of "The Land Act, 1892," and of every other power and authority enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and at the request of the School Commissioners of the Otago Provincial District, in whom the land herein described is vested, doth hereby declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, which has been reserved for educational purposes, shall be sold subject to the provisions of "The Land Act, 1892."

SCHEDULE.

SOUTH LAND DISTRICT.

Section 18, Block VII., Wendon Survey District, 313 acres 1 rood 24 perches.

Section 2, Block VII., Wendonside Survey District, 319 acres and 30 perches.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this ninth day of August, 1897.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.

IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him by "The Public Domains Act, 1881," His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby revoke a certain Order in Council, dated the fifth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-three, making delegation of certain powers in manner as therein appears; and doth, with the like advice and consent, by this present Order, delegate, but only with respect to the pieces or parcels of land described in the Schedule hereto, all the powers conferred by the Act aforesaid, except the powers under or conferred by sections five and twelve thereof, to the under-mentioned persons, who shall be known as the Wanaka Islands Domain Board, namely,—
