THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

[No. 65

All that parcel of land in the Hawke’s Bay Land District,
called or known by the name of “Sebastopol 3 Paddock,”
containing about 530 acres, situated in Block III., Waipuku-
rau Survey District, Waipawa County, being part of the
land granted to the Bishop of Wellington, and situated in
the south-west corner of the aforesaid land.

NOTICE is hereby given that the under-mentioned land
will be open for selection on lease in perpetuity, upon
the terms and conditions hereunder stated, on and after
Wednesday, the 8th September, 1897.

If there be more than one application received for the
same land on the same day, then the order of selection will
be decided by ballot, at this office, on the following day, at
11 a.m.

This section is situated in the central portion of the
Cheviot Estate, on the Hurunui-Homestead Road, about
one mile and a half in a south-westerly direction from the
Township of Mackenzie, and comprises rich agricultural
land in English grass, a portion of the area being low-lying,
and liable to flood after heavy rains.

This section is situated about three-quarters of a mile
from Port Robinson, and consists of open, broken agricul-
tural and pastoral land, the soil being of a good sandy-loam
character, carrying tussock and English grass.
