Lands in Taranaki forfeited or surrendered.
Department of Lands and Survey,
Wellington, 13th July, 1897.
IT is hereby notified that, the leases and licenses of the under-mentioned Crown lands having been voluntarily surrendered by the lessees and licensees, or forfeited by resolution of the Taranaki Land Board, the said lands have thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of “The Land Act, 1892.”

THE under-mentioned Crown lands will be open for application under lease in perpetuity, at this office, on Wednesday, the 25th day of August, 1897, under the provisions of “The Land Act, 1892,” and “The Land for Settlements Act, 1894,” and amendments.

Section 3, Block IX., a drained flat; 53 acres in grass, 27 acres swampy, 17 acres bush, 103 acres fern hills. Low spurs partially grassed; bush and fern hills at back somewhat broken; well watered; about 65 chains drains, besides boundary drain; frontage to main road; six miles and a half from Whakatane.
Section 8, Block IX., first-class alluvial flat; 91 acres grass, 8½ acres drained swamp, 13 acres low hills; fronting main road; nine miles from Whakatane.
Section 8, Block XIII., alluvial flat, in grass; fronting cross roads; ditch and hedge on west and south sides; no bush; soil excellent; eleven miles and a half from Whakatane.

Section 1, Block V., 20 acres good flat alluvial land in grass; 17 acres swamp, easily drained; 84 acres scrub and light bush; 87 acres fern hills. Well watered; fronting main road; six miles from Whakatane.
Section 16, Block XIII., 43 acres drained flat; 67 acres bush; 196 acres fern hills, broken at back, and hilly throughout. Eleven miles from Whakatane.

NOTICE is hereby given that the under-mentioned small grazing-run will be open for lease upon application at the District Lands and Survey Office, Invercargill, on and after Wednesday, the 1st September, 1897, at the half-yearly rental stated.
