NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT WATER-RACE.

Hauraki District, 2nd September, 1896.
To the Warden at Thames.
I HEREBY give notice that I intend to construct a water-race to divert and use water for mining purposes, commencing at a point marked with a peg T on the Owena Creek, Great Barrier, and terminating at another peg marked T further down said creek.
The length of such race is five hundred yards or thereabouts, and its intended course is north-easterly.
The mean depth of such race is 3ft. 6in., and the mean breadth is 3ft.; and it is proposed to divert twenty Government heads of water. Cost of construction: £300. Time required for construction: Six months.
Number and date of miner’s right: No. 5899; 8th September, 1896.
