the undersigned JOHN EDWIN GARLAND, WILLIAM HENRY
ESKETT, and JOHN ESKETT, in the trade or business of Tan-
ners, Currier, and Leather-dressers, at Woolston, under the
firm of “Garland and Eskett Brothers,” was dissolved on
the 1st day of May last by mutual consent; and in future
the business will be carried on by the said John Edwin Gar-
land on his separate account, and who will pay and receive
all debts owing from and to the said partnership.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR A
PUBLIC ROAD THROUGH SECTION 153, TOWN-
SHIP OF SANDON.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the
provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” to exe-
cute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a road
through Section 153, Township of Sandon; and for the pur-
poses of such public work the land described in the Schedule
hereto is required to be taken.
And notice is further given that the plan of the said road
and of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the
office of the Manawatu County Council, at Sanson, and is
there open for inspection.
And notice is hereby given that all persons affected by the
execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said
land shall, if they have any well-grounded objections to the
execution of the said public work or to the taking of such
land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing,
within forty days from the first publication of this notice,
to the Manawatu County Council, Sanson.

Bachelor of Medicine, and Bachelor of Surgery of the
University of Cambridge, Member of the Royal College of
Surgeons of England, and Licentiate of the Royal College
of Physicians of London, now residing in Napier, hereby
give notice that I intend applying on the 9th day of July
next to have my name placed on the Medical Register for
the Colony of New Zealand; and that I have deposited the
evidence of my qualifications at the office of the Registrar
of Births and Deaths, Napier.

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the members of
the above-named company, duly convened, and held at
the company’s office, Russell Street, Westport, New Zea-
land, on 19th May, 1897, the subjoined special resolution
was duly passed:—
“ That the Westport Brick and Tile Company (Limited)
be wound up voluntarily, and that Edward Young be ap-
pointed Liquidator thereof.”

WALLACE COUNTY. — NOTICE UNDER “THE
PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1894.”
NOTICE is hereby given that the Wallace County Coun-
cil propose to take part of Section 4, Block V.,
Jacob’s River Hundred, for a public road—viz., that piece
of land, containing 4 acres 3 roods 24 poles, commencing at
original peg at the most northerly corner of said Section 4,
and extending, at a bearing of 115° 22′, a distance of 889·8
inks; thence, at a bearing of 259°, a distance of 1105 links;
thence, at a bearing of 25° 22′, a distance of 655 links, to
commencing-point—and that the said Council has caused a
plan to be prepared, showing the land required to be taken
for the same, together with the names of the owners and
occupier thereof, as far as this can be ascertained; and that
said plan is deposited at the office of the said Council,
Riverton, and open for inspection by all persons at all
reasonable hours: and all persons affected are hereby called
upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objection to
the execution of such work or the taking of such lands, and
to send such in writing within forty (40) days from the first
publication of this notice to the Wallace County Council, at
their office at Riverton.
