NOTICE OF INCREASE OF CAPITAL.
I, THE undersigned, Manager, hereby give notice that an increase in the capital of the above-named company was, on the 25th day of May, 1897, resolved on. The mode adopted for the increase is by issuing 75,000 new shares of 1s. each, paid up to 3d., in addition to the 125,000 shares now existing in the company.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT WATER-RACE.
Hauraki Mining District, 25th May, 1897.
To the Warden at Thames.
I HEREBY give notice that I intend to construct a water-race to divert and use water for mining purposes, commencing at a point and peg marked X on the Kaitoke Creek, Great Barrier Island, about three-quarters of a mile above a junction of the said creek with a branch creek, and terminating at a point and peg marked X one-quarter of a mile below the said junction.
The length of such race is one mile or thereabouts, and its intended course is south-easterly.
Water-race required for Kaitoke No. 1 Special Claim, at Great Barrier.
The mean depth of such race is 2 ft. 6 in., and the mean breadth is 5 ft., and it is proposed to divert ten Government heads of water.
Cost of construction: £500.
Time required for construction: Twelve months.
Number and date of miner’s right: No. 5882; 17th September, 1896.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT WATER-RACE.
Hauraki Mining District, 18th March, 1897.
To the Warden at Paeroa.
WE hereby give notice that we intend to construct a water-race to divert and use water for mining purposes, commencing at a point, marked by a post branded X, on the Maratoto Stream immediately below the Whakamoehau Junction—also two branch races connecting with the same, commencing at the points marked by posts branded X on the Waipaheke Stream and on the tributary stream known as McBrinn’s Creek respectively—taking twenty heads from the Waipaheke Stream and three heads from McBrinn’s Stream, and terminating at a point, marked by a post branded X, on the Hikutaia River at the Paiakarahi Junction.
The length of such race is three miles or thereabouts, and its intended course is generally about east and west on the left-hand banks of the Maratoto and Hikutaia Rivers.
The mean depth of such race is 4 ft., and the mean breadth is 6 ft.; and it is proposed to divert forty-three Government heads of water.
Cost of construction: £2,000.
Time required for construction: Twelve months.

WE hereby give notice that we intend to construct a water-race to divert and use water for mining purposes, commencing at a point, marked by a post branded X, on the right bank of the Paiakarahi Stream about 35 chains above the Arizona Junction; also diverting two heads of water from the Arizona Creek by a branch flume, commencing at a point marked X, and terminating at the Hikutaia River at the Paiakarahi Junction.
The length of such race is four miles or thereabouts, and its intended course is generally about south-east and north-west on the right bank of the Paiakarahi Stream.
The mean depth of such race is 3 ft., and the mean breadth is 4 ft.; and it is proposed to divert seven Government heads of water.
Cost of construction: £1,500.
Time required for construction: Twelve months.
Number and date of miner’s right: No. 5564; 6th Nov., 1896.
