Land taken for Tuakau-Raglan Main Road through Section 26,
Block VIII., Parish of Whangape.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken, under "The Public Works
Act, 1894," for a certain work, to wit, the construction of
the Tuakau-Raglan Main Road through Section No. 26,
Block VIII., in the Parish of Whangape:
And whereas a plan has been prepared, and the Minister
has recommended the Governor to issue a Proclamation
taking the land as required by the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, the Administrator
of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise
and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested
by "The Public Works Act, 1894," and of every other power
and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do
hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of
the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the land
mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the
purposes of the construction of the said main road.

A. R. P. 5 0 0 26, Parish of Whangape VIII. Awaroa S.G. 22850 Red.

All in the Auckland Land District; as the said area is
delineated upon the plan marked as above stated, deposited
in the Head Office of the Department of Lands and Survey,
at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir James
Prendergast, Knight, Chief Justice, Adminis-
trator of the Government in and over Her
Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its
Dependencies, at the Government House, at
Wellington; and issued under the Seal of the
said Colony, this twenty-sixth day of May, in the
year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and ninety-seven.

Land taken for a Road in the Mangatu Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken, under "The Public Works
Act, 1894," for a certain work, to wit, the construction of a
road in the Waihora C Block, in the County of Cook:
And whereas the Waikohu Road Board has laid before the
Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, and also
the statutory declaration, required by the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, the Administrator
of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, in exer-
cise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me
vested by "The Public Works Act, 1894," and of every
other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that
behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after
the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand
Gazette, the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is
hereby taken for the purposes of the construction of the
said road.

and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by
section eleven of "The Land for Settlements Act
Amendment Act, 1895," I, James Prendergast, the Adminis-
trator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, do
by this notice, with the consent of the Waihemo County
Council, hereby proclaim as closed the roads in the Waihemo
County hereinafter described, that is to say:β€”

At the Government House, at Wellington, this thirty-first
day of May, 1897.

Present:
His Excellency the ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT
IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
was permanently reserved for public saleyards by
notification in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-ninth
day of April, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven,
No. 41: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is
expedient that the said land should be vested in the Kihikihi
Town Board:
