Declaring Part of the Livingstone-Kyeburn Road to be a County Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this third day of May, 1897.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by section one hundred and two of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby declare that the road described in the Schedule below shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road within the Waitaki County.

SCHEDULE.

PART OF THE LIVINGSTONE-KYEBURN ROAD WITHIN THE WAITAKI COUNTY.

ALL that area in the Otago Land District being that portion of the Livingstone-Kyeburn Road which commences at a point 40 chains west of the north-western corner of Section No. 1, Block XI., Domet District, and proceeds from thence in a south-westerly direction for a distance of 60 chains, thence in a westerly direction along the north branch of the Maerewhenua River for a distance of 220 chains, thence in a north-westerly direction for a distance of 70 chains, thence in a south-westerly direction for a distance of 130 chains, and thence in a south-easterly direction to Dansey’s Pass Saddle for a distance of 40 chains (be all the aforesaid linkages more or less), and being 100 links wide; as the same is delineated upon the plan marked S.G. 11086a, deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

PORTION OF LIVINGSTONE-KYEBURN ROAD IN MANIOTOTO COUNTY.

ALL that area in the Otago Land District being that portion of the Livingstone-Kyeburn Road which extends in a south-westerly direction from Dansey’s Pass Saddle for a distance of about 345 chains to where it joins the old Kyeburn track: as the same is delineated upon the plan marked S.G. 11086b, deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Licensing William Peterson to use and occupy a Part of the Foreshore of Half-moon Bay.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this seventeenth day of May, 1897.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS, there being no Harbour Board empowered to grant the license hereinafter mentioned, William Peterson, of Half-moon Bay, Stewart Island (hereinafter called “the licensee”), has applied to the Governor in Council for a license under “The Harbours Act Amendment Act, 1883” (hereinafter called “the said Act”), to occupy a part of the foreshore, and the land below low-water mark immediately contiguous to such foreshore, in order to erect and maintain thereon a shed in Half-moon Bay, Stewart Island; and, in accordance with the one hundred and fifty-sixth section of “The Harbours Act, 1878,” has deposited a plan in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington (marked M.D. 2127), showing the place in the said bay where it is intended to erect such shed, and the area of foreshore or land below low-water mark intended to be occupied for such purpose: And whereas it has been made to appear to the Governor in Council that the proposed work will not be or tend to the injury of navigation; and the said plan has, prior to the making of this Order in Council, been approved by the Governor in Council: And whereas it is expedient that a license under the said Act, for the purpose aforesaid, should be granted and issued to the licensee on the terms and conditions hereinafter expressed:
