Land taken for a Road through Section 2 and Part of Section 3, Square 20, Wangamoa and Tapamutu Survey Districts.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under "The Public Works Act, 1894," for a certain work, to wit, the construction of a portion of a road in the Wakapuaka, Wangamoa, and Tapamutu Survey Districts, known as the Wangamoa Road:
And whereas a plan has been prepared, and the Minister has recommended the Governor to issue a Proclamation taking the land as required by the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by "The Public Works Act, 1894," and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the construction of the said road.

In the Nelson Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated upon the plan marked as above mentioned, deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured as above stated.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir James Prendergast, Knight, Chief Justice, Administrator of the Government in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, at the Government House, at Wellington; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, this twenty-eighth day of April, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven.

Lands taken for a Public Road in the Borough of Devonport.

WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken, under "The Public Works Act, 1894," for a certain work, to wit, the construction of a public road in the Borough of Devonport:
And whereas the Devonport Borough Council has laid before the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, required by the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by "The Public Works Act, 1894," and of every other power and authority in any wise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are hereby taken for the purposes of the construction of the said public road.
