Notice of Acceptance of Complete Specifications.
Patent Office,
Wellington, 14th April, 1897.

COMPLETE specifications relating to the under-men-
tioned applications for Letters Patent have been
accepted, and are open to public inspection at this office.
Any person may, at any time within two months from the
date of this Gazette, give me notice in writing of opposition
to the grant of any such patent. Such notice must set
forth the particular grounds of objection, and be in duplicate.
A fee of 10s. is payable thereon.

No. 8800.—24th February, 1897.—Julius Decimus Tripe,
of Wanganui, Wellington, New Zealand, Surgeon, and
James Copeland, of Wanganui aforesaid, Farmer. An in-
vention for an improved brake for velocipedes or other
wheeled vehicles, preferably for those with pneumatic tires.
(Specification, 4s. ; drawings, 6s.)

No. 9071.—24th November, 1896.—Frederick George
Morris Brittin, Surgeon, and Benjamin Walter Glass,
Engineer, both of 71, Cathedral Square, Christchurch, New
Zealand. An invention for improved method of and ap-
paratus for freezing meat. (Specification, 4s. ; drawings,
5s. 6d.)

No. 9362.—18th March, 1897.—Deep-sea Diving Com-
pany (Limited), of Brisbane, Queensland (assignees of
William McQuillan, of 8, Napoleon Street, Balmain, New

neer, and Louis Denhame Gibson, Bank-manager, both of
Albert Street, Creswick, Victoria. An invention for a method
and apparatus for treating the air in mines in order to con-
