Declaring it Lawful to take Oysters in the Southern Sub-division of the Northern Oyster-fishery.

WHEREAS it is amongst other things provided by section fifteen of “The Sea-fisheries Act, 1894” (hereinafter called “the said Act”), that the Governor may from time to time declare any bay, estuary, or tidal waters in the colony to be an oyster-fishery under the said Act, and may part the same into subdivisions by distinguishing marks, and may prescribe the subdivisions thereof wherein it shall be lawful and unlawful respectively to take oysters:
And whereas by warrant under the hand of the Governor dated the twenty-ninth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-five, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the fourth day of April in the same year, the Northern Oyster-fishery was declared and constituted, and parted into subdivisions under the designations of the Southern, Middle, and Northern Subdivisions:
And whereas it was declared unlawful to take oysters in the Southern Subdivision of the said oyster-fishery, and it is now advisable that it should be declared lawful to take oysters in the said Southern Subdivision:
Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by the said Act, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, do hereby declare that it shall be lawful to take oysters within the periods prescribed in that behalf in the Southern Subdivision of the said Northern Oyster-fishery.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, this third day of April, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven.

Declaring Tauranga Oyster-fishery within which Oysters may be taken.

IN pursuance of the power and authority vested in me by section fifteen of “The Sea-fisheries Act, 1894,” I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby declare the bays, estuaries, and tidal waters situated between the northernmost point of the south head of Tairua Harbour and the south head of Opotiki River, including the bays, estuaries, and tidal waters of any islands situated between the said points on the south head of Tairua Harbour and the south head of Opotiki River, to be an oyster-fishery, under the name of “The Tauranga Oyster-fishery.”
And I do further declare and prescribe that it shall be lawful to take oysters within the period prescribed in that behalf in such oyster-fishery.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, this third day of April, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven.

Extension of Date of Delivery of Pension-claims to the Deputy Registrar.

PURSUANT to and in exercise of the powers in this behalf conferred upon him by “The Registration of People’s Claims Act, 1896,” His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand doth hereby extend the date up to which pension-claims may be delivered until the thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, this sixth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven.

Appointing a Day on which Deputy Registrars, under “The Registration of People’s Claims Act, 1896,” shall prepare and furnish Returns of Claims received, &c.

PURSUANT to and in exercise of the powers in this behalf conferred upon him by “The Registration of People’s Claims Act, 1896,” His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand doth hereby name the twenty-first day of August, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven, as the day on which each Deputy Registrar shall prepare and forward to the Registrar a return showing separately, in respect of all pension-claims received by such Deputy Registrar in his district, the number admitted, the number rejected, and the number postponed or unadjusted.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, this sixth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven.
