SCHEDULE.

All that piece or parcel of land, situated on the right hand bank of the left hand branch of the Kanieri River, in the Land District of Westland, containing by admeasurement 430 acres, more or less, bounded as follows: On the west by a line bearing 191° 14' (true) from the S.W. corner of K 449 to its intersection with the left-hand branch of the Kanieri River; on the north by the southern boundaries of K 449, 447, 446, 448, and 20 chains along K 445, being a total distance of 160 chains 35 links; on the east by a straight line bearing 192° 14', distance 30 chains; and on the south by a straight line bearing 282° 14' till it intersects the left-hand branch of the Kanieri River, thence along the north branch of the said river until the intersection with the western boundary.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir James Prendergast, Knight, Chief Justice, Administrator of the Government in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, at the Government House, at Wellington; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, this sixth day of April, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven.

Additional Land taken in Hawksbury Survey District for the Purposes of the Waitaki–Bluff Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Waitaki–Bluff Railway to take further land in Hawksbury Survey District, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-eight and one hundred and sixty-seven of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is taken for the purposes above mentioned.

The parcel of land mentioned hereunder:—

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir James Prendergast, Knight, Chief Justice, Administrator of the Government in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, at the Government House, at Wellington; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, this sixth day of April, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1894,” for a certain work, to wit, the deviation of the Junction Road, in the Ngatimaru Survey District:

And whereas the Clifton County Council has laid before the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration, required by the said Act:

Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purpose of the said deviation.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir James Prendergast, Knight, Chief Justice, Administrator of the Government in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, at the Government House, at Wellington; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, this sixth day of April, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven.
