Notifying Lands in Auckland for Sale by Public Auction

GLASGOW, Governor.

In pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon
me by the one hundred and thirteenth section of "The
Land Act, 1892," I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor
of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Friday,
the twenty-sixth day of March, one thousand eight hun-
dred and ninety-seven, as the time at which the lands
enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public
auction; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said
lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule
hereto opposite the description of such lands respectively.

Fixing Shooting Season for Deer, License-fee, etc., Nelson
District.

GLASGOW, Governor.

In exercise of the powers vested in me by "The Animals
Protection Act, 1880," and the Acts amending the same,
I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand, do hereby notify that red-deer stags and
fallow-deer bucks may be taken or killed within the Nelson
District, comprising the Counties of Waimea, Buller, and
Collingwood, from the twentieth day of February, one
thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven, to the twentieth
day of April, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven,
both inclusive (subject, nevertheless, to the restrictions in
the said Acts mentioned); and I do further notify that
licenses to take or kill such game within the said district
shall be issued on payment of the sum of twenty shillings
each, and that no licensee shall be allowed to kill more than
six bucks or stags; and the Chief Postmaster at Nelson and
the Postmaster at Westport are hereby appointed to issue
the said licenses.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor
this third day of February, one thousand eight
hundred and ninety-seven.
