NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hitherto existing between WALTER HALLETT and JOSEPH EDWIN DALTON, carrying on business at Thames and Coromandel, in the Provincial District of Auckland, as Surveyors, has this day been dissolved by the said Walter Hallett, notice of such dissolution having been served upon the said Joseph Edwin Dalton.

SOUTHLAND COUNTY.

LAND REQUIRED FOR ROAD.

PURSUANT to the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” it is hereby notified that the Southland County Council require the land described hereunder for the purpose of a public road. A plan marked 68, showing position of same, will be open for public inspection at the office of the said County Council at Invercargill at all reasonable hours for a period of forty days from date hereof.

All persons affected by the taking of the land are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections thereto, and to serve the same upon the County Clerk at Invercargill before the expiration of forty days from date hereof.

Description of land: All that piece or parcel of land in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 6 acres and 22½ poles, more or less, being a portion of Section 304, Hokonui Survey District, and bounded as follows: viz., Commencing at the south-east corner of Section 304 aforesaid; thence at a bearing of 262° 14′ for a distance of 84·5 links; thence at a bearing of 2° 6′, a distance of 5742·6 links; thence at a bearing of 92° 6′, a distance of 100 links; thence at a bearing of 182° 6′, 3800 links; thence at a bearing of 178° 41′, 1006·1 links; thence at a bearing of 190° 36′, 404·2 links; thence at a bearing of 182° 6′, 493·5 links; thence at a bearing of 214° 6′, 31·7 links, to the starting-point.

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was, on the 15th day of December, 1896, presented to Mr. Justice Williams, a Judge of the Supreme Court, by the Bank of New Zealand, a creditor of the said company; and the said petition is directed to be heard before a Judge of the said Court at Dunedin, on Friday, the 5th day of February, 1897; and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to oppose the making of an order for the winding-up of the said company under the above Act should appear at the time of hearing, by himself or his counsel, for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring the same, by the undersigned, on payment of the regulated charge for the same.
