Revoking Proclamation authorising the Sale of Education
Reserves in Wellington.

GLASGOW, Governor.
A PROCLAMATION.

WHERAS by a Proclamation issued on the twenty-
fifth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and
ninety-three, under the two hundred and forty-third section
of "The Land Act, 1892," it was declared that the lands
specified in the Schedule hereto, which had been reserved for
educational purposes, should be sold subject to the provisions
of "The Land Act, 1892":

And whereas it is expedient to revoke the said Proclama-
tion in so far as it relates to the sections in the said Schedule
hereto:

Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor
of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of
the power and authority conferred upon me by section six of
"The Land Act, 1892," and of every other power and
authority in any wise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby
revoke the said Proclamation of the twenty-fifth day of April,
one thousand eight hundred and ninety-three, so far as it re-
lates to the sections enumerated in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.

Sections Nos. 35 and 36, Block XVI., Belmont Survey
District, and Sections Nos. 38 and 40, Block I., Pencarrow
Survey District; containing by admeasurement 441 acres,
more or less.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight
Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of
Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and
Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's
Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies;
and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at
the Government House, at Wellington, this
twelfth day of December, in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six.

Public Auction.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in him by subsection three of the two hun-
dred and forty-third section of "The Land Act, 1892," and
of every other power and authority enabling him in that
behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said colony, and at the request of the Board
of Governors of the Canterbury College, in whom the land
described herein is vested, doth hereby declare that the land
described in the Schedule hereto, which has been reserved
for educational purposes, shall be sold subject to the pro-
visions of "The Land Act, 1892."

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.—ASHBURTON COUNTY.—WESTER-
FIELD SURVEY DISTRICT.
Reserve No. 1124, Blocks II. and III. : 246 acres 3 roods
4 perches.

Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of
Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and
Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's
Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies;

sixteenth day of December, in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon
me by the one hundred and sixty-eighth section of "The
Land Act, 1892," I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare
that the allotments of Crown land respectively described in
the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby set
apart and declared open for lease as village-homestead allot-
ments.

vested in me by the one hundred and seventy-second
section of "The Land Act, 1892," and of every other power
and authority enabling me in that behalf, I, David, Earl of
Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do
hereby declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule
hereto shall be subject to the provisions of sections one
hundred and seventy-two to one hundred and eighty-six of
Part V. of "The Land Act, 1892," relating to small grazing-
runs.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.
Tuapeka County.

Sections 7, 10, and 11, Block XIII., Benger Survey Dis-
trict, 809 acres 3 roods 16 perches.

Waitaki County.
Runs 3 of 23 and 4 of 23, Kurow Survey District, 9,400
acres.
