And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said land in the Wallace County Council:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in “The Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Wallace County,” in trust, for a gravel reserve.

SCHEDULE.

All that parcel of land in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 20 acres, more or less, being Section No. 52, Block IV., Aparima Hundred. Bounded towards the north by a road-line, 400 and 597·4 links respectively; towards the east by Section No. 4, Block IV., 300 and 1836·3 links; towards the south by Section No. 4, Block IV., 981 links; and towards the west by Section No. 5, Block IV., 2050 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Invercargill.

Vesting a Reserve in the Port Levy Road Board.

GLASGOW, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twelfth day of December, 1896.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE R. J. SEDDON PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto was permanently reserved as a metal reserve on the eighteenth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four:

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient that the said land should be vested in the Port Levy Road Board:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in “The Inhabitants of the Port Levy Road District,” in trust, as a metal reserve.

SCHEDULE.

All that parcel of land in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 5 acres 2 roods 3 perches, more or less, being Section No. 1615 (in red), Block V., Pigeon Bay Survey District. Bounded towards the northward generally by Rural Sections 33897 and 667, 2147·3 links; towards the south-east by a road-line, 1566 links; towards the south-west by Rural Section 33897, 981·6 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Christchurch.

Vesting Reserves in the Wallace County Council.

WHEREAS the lands described in the Schedule hereto were permanently set apart as reserves for gravel on the twenty-fifth day of August, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six:

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said lands in the Wallace County Council:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserves described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in “The Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of Wallace County,” in trust, as gravel reserves.

All that parcel of land in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 3 roods, more or less, being Section No. 203, Oreti Survey District. Bounded towards the north by a closed road-line, 983 links; towards the north-east by a road-line, 462 links; towards the south by the Duck Creek; and towards the north-west by a road-line, 100 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Invercargill.

All that parcel of land in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Section No. 204, Oreti Survey District. Bounded towards the north by a closed road-line, 920 links; towards the south-east by a road-line, 110 links, and by the Duck Creek; and towards the west by a chain road reserved along the Aparima River: as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Invercargill.

All that parcel of land in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being Section No. 202, Oreti Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by Section 10, 520·6 links; towards the south-west by a road-line, 171 links and 392 links respectively: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Invercargill.

All that parcel of land in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 2 roods 36 perches, more or less, being Sections Nos. 59 and 66, Hodgkinson Township. Bounded towards the north-west by a road-line, 1270 links; towards the north-east by Tamworth Street, 215 links; towards the south-east by Section 43, 1270 links; towards the south-west by Aparima Street, 215 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Invercargill.

Native Land proposed to be taken for a Pilot- and Signal-station in Tainui Survey District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twelfth day of December, 1896.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE R. J. SEDDON PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a public work, to wit, the construction of a pilot- and signal-station on the said land:

And whereas the said land is held or occupied by Native owners under a title which is not derived from the Crown:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the eighty-eighth section of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto, and shown on the map therein referred to, shall, as from the twelfth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six, vest in Her Majesty for the purposes of the public work above mentioned.
