Notice of Acceptance of Complete Specifications.
Patent Office,
Wellington, 26th November, 1896.
COMPLETE specifications relating to the under-men-
tioned applications for Letters Patent have been
accepted, and are open to public inspection at this office.
Any person may, at any time within two months from the
date of this Gazette, give me notice in writing of opposition
to the grant of any such patent. Such notice must set
forth the particular grounds of objection, and be in duplicate.
A fee of 10s. is payable thereon.
No. 8286.—17th February, 1896.—WILLIAM NICOL, of
Invercargill, New Zealand, Watchmaker. An invention
entitled "Nicol's Electric Time-handicap Starter." (Speci-
fication, 11s. 6d.; drawings, £2 2s.)
No. 8300.—25th February, 1896.—EDWARD JOHN TITE
FORD, of 14, Lower High Street, Christchurch, New Zealand,
Accountant. An invention for improved combined writing-
tablet and door for telephone instruments. (Specification,

No. 8478.—12th May, 1896.—JAMES BROWN, of 147, Elgin
Street, Carlton, Bourke, Victoria, Hardware Dealer. An
invention for an improved attachment for spiral springs.

Street, Invercargill, New Zealand, Engineer. An invention
entitled "Murie's Pneumatic Spring for Bicycles and the

Stawell, Victoria. An invention for an improved method
and apparatus for extracting precious metals from slimes, or
other finely-divided material containing the same. (Specifi-
cation, 19s. 6d.; drawings, 13s.)

Commercial Chambers, Manse Street, Dunedin, New Zea-
land, Watchmaker and Jeweller. An invention for improved
apparatus for frosting glass, metals, and similar materials.

77, Elizabeth Street, Sydney, New South Wales, Electrician,

proved machine for saving gold by the aid of mercury.
