NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT WATER-RACE.
Longwood, 20th October, 1896.
To the Warden at Riverton.
WE hereby give notice that we intend to construct a
water-race to divert and use water for mining pur-
poses, commencing at a point in Camp Creek, Longwood,
about three miles and a half from the mouth, picking up
the Hollyburn and all tributaries, and terminating at our
special claim at Te Waewae Bay. Pegs marked X.
The length of such race is six miles or thereabouts, and
its intended course is N. and S.
The mean depth of such race is 3ft., and the mean
breadth is 6ft., and it is proposed to divert forty Government
heads of water.
Cost of construction: £1,200.
Time required for construction: Two years.
