NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT WATER-RACE.

Longwood, 20th October, 1896.

To the Warden at Riverton.

WE hereby give notice that we intend to construct a
water-race to divert and use water for mining pur-
poses, commencing at a point in Camp Creek, Longwood,
about three miles and a half from the mouth, picking up
the Hollyburn and all tributaries, and terminating at our
special claim at Te Waewae Bay. Pegs marked X.

The length of such race is six miles or thereabouts, and
its intended course is N. and S.

The mean depth of such race is 3ft., and the mean
breadth is 6ft., and it is proposed to divert forty Government
heads of water.

Cost of construction: £1,200.

Time required for construction: Two years.

Riverton within fourteen clear days from the date hereof.

I, the undersigned, hereby make application to register
the Sunlight Gold-mining Company as a no-liability
company under the provisions of "The Mining Companies
Act, 1894."

  1. The name of the company is to be Sunlight Gold-
    mining Company (No Liability).

  2. The place of operations (or intended operations) is at
    Puru, Thames.

  3. The registered office of the company will be situated at
    Legal Chambers, Queen Street, Auckland.

  4. The value of the company's property, including claim
    or lease ground and machinery, is one thousand pounds.

  5. The number of shares in the company is one hun-
    dred thousand, of four shillings each.

  6. The number of shares subscribed for is seventy-five
    thousand.

  7. The name of the Manager is William Clarke.
