is registered as a branch of the District Grand Ledge
of the North Island of New Zeal and, of the United Ancient
Order of Druids Frieudly Society, under "The Frieudly
Soeicties Act, 1882," this 10th day of November, 1896.

NOTICE is hereb given that the under-mentioned small
grazing-runs will be open for leasc on application, at
the Land Office, Dune din, on and after Wednesday, the 25th
November, 1896, at the half-yearly rent al noted below. If
more than one application be received for the run on the
same day, priority of selection will be decided by ballor on
the following day, at 11 a.m.

tio or immediately the result of the ballor is declared,

Conditions of Leasc.

The term of leasc is twent y -one years, with the option
of renew al for a further period of twent y -one years, at a rent
to be fixed by valuation, and improvemeuts being sec ured to
lessee as provided by "The Land Act, 1892," section 182.
Each lessee is required to make the declaratio as per form
print ed below. -
No person can leasc more than one run.

Resideuce on the run is compulsory, and commences
within three years in brush or swa mp land, and within one
year in open or partl open land, unless the lessee obtain
the consent of the Land Board to re side on other land in his
occupatio. -
Permanent improvemeuts must be effected equal to one
year's rent al by the end of the first year, two years' rent al
by the end of the second year, and four years' rent al at the
end of the six th year; and on brush land, in addition thereto,
improvemeuts must be made to the value of 10s. an ac re if
first-class land, or of 5s. an ac re if second-class land. -
One half-year's rent and £1 1s. for the leasc must be
paid immediately the application is declared successful;
the rent to be paid half-yearly in advance during the term
of the leasc. The next payment of rent will become due on
the 1st September, 1897. -
The lessee has no right to purchase any part of the
land; but he can select 150 ac res around the homestcad
through which no road can be taken or other public pri-
viledge exercised without compensatio.
NOTE.—One -fourth of the rent paid during the first fifteen
years is returned to the local body, to be spent in improviug
the access to the land,

"The Land Act, 1892," am desirous of becoming the pur-
chaser of a leasc of Run No.† - That I am purc hasing such leasc solel y for my own use
and benefit, and not directly or indirec tly for the use of any
other person or persons whatever. - That I am not alread y the holder of any such leasc in
any part of the colon y, nor have I any interest in any such
leasc. - That I am not the holder of any run under Part V I. of
the aforesaid Act, nor have I any interest in any such run. - That I do not own any freehold land or land held by
leasc or license of any kind whatever anywhere in the colon y,
either by myself or jointl y with any other person, which,
exclusive of the land I am now purc hasing the leasc of, will
exceed in area 1,000 ac res.
And I make this solemn declaratio n conscieutiousl y be-
lieving the same to be true, and by virtue of an Act of the
General Assembly of New Zeal and intituled "The Justices
of the Peac e Act, 1882. "
