A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by “The Water-supply Act, 1891” (hereinafter called “the said Act”), it is enacted that, on receipt of a resolution passed by any two or more Road Boards representing road districts which adjoin each other within any county wherein “The Counties Act, 1886,” is not in operation or is suspended, the Governor, by Proclamation gazetted, may declare the whole or any part or parts of such road districts to be a water-supply district under the said Act by the name of “The Water-supply District”; and the Governor, by the same or any subsequent Proclamation, shall determine the number of members of the Water-supply Board, not in any case being less than one nor more than three, to be elected by each road district or part of a road district respectively forming part of the water-supply district:
And whereas each of the Road Boards of the Road Districts of Epsom and One-Tree Hill, in the Provincial District of Auckland, have passed a resolution to the effect that certain parts of the districts of such Road Boards, and which are described in the resolution, should, in conjunction with parts of the other road districts hereinbefore mentioned, be formed into a water-supply district under the said Act: And whereas the said road districts adjoin each other, and are situate in the County of Eden, in which county “The Counties Act, 1886,” is not in operation:
Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by “The Water-supply Act, 1891,” do hereby proclaim and declare that the district the boundaries of which are described in the Schedule hereto shall form a water-supply district under the said Act, by the name of “The Manukau Water-supply District.”
And, in further pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities aforesaid, I do hereby determine that the number of members of the said Water-supply Board shall be six, such members to be elected as provided by the said Act.

SCHEDULE.
MANUKAU WATER-SUPPLY DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District situate in the County of Eden, bounded toward the north by Seccombe's Road; towards the east by the road forming the eastern boundary of Allotment No. 34 of Section 6, Suburbs of Auckland; again towards the north by the Pass Road to the Great South Road; thence towards the north-east by the Great South Road to the Harp of Erin Road; thence towards the south-east by the south side of the said Harp of Erin Road to Manukau Road: thence towards the west generally by the said Manukau Road to a point in line with the northern boundary-line of Allotment No. 36 of Section 10, Suburbs of Auckland; thence by a right line to the north-eastern corner of that allotment; thence by the said Allotment No. 36 to the road forming the western boundaries of Allotments Nos. 35, 34, 34A, 33A, 32, 31, 30, 29, 28, 27, and 26 of Section 10, Suburbs of Auckland; thence by that road to the road forming the south-western boundary of Allotment No. 25A (School Reserve); thence by that road to the road forming the western boundaries of original Allotments Nos. 25A, 24, 23, 22, 21, 20, and 19, Section 10 aforesaid; thence by the last-mentioned road to the road forming the southern boundaries of original Allotments Nos. 60, 61, 62, 41, and 40, Section 6, Suburbs of Auckland; thence by that road to the south-western corner of the last-mentioned allotment; thence by a right line to the south-western corner of original Allotment No. 57 of Section 6 aforesaid; and by the western boundary-line of that allotment to the Mount Eden Recreation Reserve; thence by that reserve to the road forming the north-western boundaries of Allotments Nos. 94, 93, and 92 of Section 6 aforesaid; thence by that road to Firth Road; and thence by Firth Road to Seccombe's Road aforesaid.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this fifth day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six.

A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by subsection three of the two hundred and forty-third section of “The Land Act, 1892,” and of every other power and authority enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and at the request of the School Commissioners of the Auckland District, in whom the land described herein is vested, doth hereby declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, which has been reserved for educational purposes, shall be sold subject to the provisions of “The Land Act, 1892.”

Powers delegated to the Moeraki Domain Board under “The Public Domains Act, 1881.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this ninth day of November, 1896.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him by “The Public Domains Act, 1881,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby revoke a certain Order in Council, dated the twenty-seventh day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight, making delegation of certain powers in manner as therein appears, and doth, with the like advice and consent, by this present Order, delegate, but only with respect to the pieces or parcels of land described in the Schedule hereto, all the powers conferred by the Act aforesaid, except the powers under or conferred by sections five and twelve thereof, to the under-mentioned persons, who shall be known as the Moeraki Domain Board, namely,——
ANDREW MCKERROW,
ROBERT EWING,
DAVID MUNRO,
WILLIAM MURCOTT, and
ALFRED HULL
(hereinafter referred to as “the Board”), subject to the stipulations hereinafter contained, that is to say,——

The Board shall meet for the transaction of business on the second Wednesday in each month, at two o'clock p.m., at the Courthouse, Hampden, or at such other time or place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board. The first meeting shall be held on Wednesday, the ninth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six.

Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman or by any two members of the Board, provided that two days' notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying the business to be transacted at such special meeting; and no other business than that so specified shall be transacted at such meeting.

Any three of the said Board shall form a quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time.

The members of the Board shall, at their first meeting, and thereafter at an annual meeting to be held on the second Wednesday in January in every succeeding year thereafter, elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of his successor.
