THE following special orders, made by the Moa Road Board, are published in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

MOA ROAD BOARD.—SPECIAL ORDER.
THAT, to secure the repayment of a loan of £550 raised under “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1896,” for the purpose of metalling the Lepper Road South from the Egmont Road South northwards, a special rate of 1d. in the pound be made and levied over the following lands, which are hereby constituted the “Lepper Road South Special Rating District”:—
Sections 121, 122, 123, 125, 126, 127 (in five subdivisions), 138, 142, 143, 144, 145, 146, 147, Tarurutangi Survey District; Sections 7, 8 (in two subdivisions), 9 (in two subdivisions), 10 (in two subdivisions), 11, 12, 13, Block 7, Egmont Survey District.
Such rate to be an annual recurring rate for twenty-six years, and to be payable in two half-yearly instalments, on the 1st day of January and the 1st day of July in each year.

MOA ROAD BOARD.—SPECIAL ORDER.
THAT, to secure the repayment of a loan of £150 raised under “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” for the purpose of forming a portion of the Tariki Road from the Ratapiko School eastwards, a special rate of 1½d. in the pound be made and levied over the following lands, which are hereby constituted the “Tariki Road Special Rating District”:—
Sections 20, 21, 22, 43, 44, 45, 46, Block VI., Huiroa Survey District.
Such rate to be an annual recurring rate for twenty-six years, and to be payable in two half-yearly instalments, on the 1st day of January and the 1st day of July in each year.

THE following special order, made by the Taratahi-Carterton Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

SPECIAL ORDER passed by the Taratahi-Carterton Road Board at a Special Meeting held the 5th day of September, 1896, and confirmed by the same at a Special Meeting held the 10th day of October, 1896.
To declare that a certain private road running from Brooklyn Road in an approximately southern direction along the western boundaries of allotments numbered 38 to 42 on the subdivisional plan of Section No. 238, Taratahi Plain Block, in No. 6 Subdivision of the Taratahi-Carterton Road District, to the northern boundary-line of Section No. 237 in the same block and district, shall be a public road, and shall, after the passing of the aforesaid special order, be maintained out of the public funds of the said Road Board.
- To declare that a certain private road running from Belvedere Road in a generally southern direction between Allotments 11 and 12 of the Subdivision No. 238 in No. 6 Subdivision of the Taratahi-Carterton Road District, and ending at or near the north-western corner of Allotment No. 23 of the aforesaid subdivisional plan, shall be a public road, and shall, after the passing of the aforesaid special order, be maintained out of the public funds of the Taratahi-Carterton Road Board.

TARATAHI-CARTERTON ROAD BOARD.—RESULT OF POLL FOR LOAN.
I HEREBY give public notice that the poll of No. 6 Subdivision of the Taratahi-Carterton Road District, taken on the 5th day of October, 1896, resulted as follows: A loan of £300 to be raised under “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” for forming, metalling, bridging, and fencing a line of road leading from the north-western corner of Allotment No. 23, Section 238, to the south-western corner of Allotment No. 30, and a line of road leading from Brooklyn Road to the northern boundary of Section 237:—
Total number of voters on roll, 103; total number of votes exercisable by them, 117: Number of voters who voted for the proposal, 72; number of votes recorded for the proposal, 77; number of voters who voted against the proposal, 2; number of votes recorded against the proposal, 2.
I accordingly declare the above-mentioned proposal duly carried.
