DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
N OTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore existing between WILLIAM BAKER and ELLEN PARR, trading together as Blacksmiths and Wheelwrights, at Feilding, in the Provincial District of Wellington, under the style or firm of "W. Baker and Co.," has this day been dissolved by mutual consent. All debts due to or owing by the said late firm will be received and paid by the said William Baker, who will continue to carry on the business as hitherto.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
N OTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hitherto existing between the undersigned WILLIAM FARQUHAR and ROBERT LOWE, trading at Kaponga as Hotelkeepers, under the style or firm of "William Farquhar," has this day been dissolved by mutual consent. The business will in future be carried on by the said William Farquhar in his own name, and who will receive and pay respectively all debts now due to or by the said late firm of "William Farquhar."

N OTICE is hereby given that at the general meeting of the Trustees of the above-named Bank, to be held in January next, steps will be taken to reduce the rate of interest upon deposits in the said Bank to 4 per cent. per annum as from a date to be hereafter notified.

N OTICE is hereby given that the Partnership lately subsisting between us, the undersigned JOHN SCHAW RUTHERFURD and MATTHEW BEGG, carrying on business as Hydraulic-lime Manufacturers at Whangarei, in the Provincial District of Auckland, under the style or firm of "Rutherford and Co.," was, on the 16th day of September, 1896, dissolved by mutual consent, and the said Matthew Begg alone will pay and discharge all debts and liabilities and receive all moneys payable to the said late firm.

In the matter of "The Companies Act, 1882," and its amendments; and in the matter of the Hokonui Railway and Coal Company (Limited).
N OTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the Hokonui Railway and Coal Company (Limited), duly convened, and held at the registered office of the company, in the Crescent, Invercargill, on Friday, the 7th day of August instant, the following extraordinary resolution for winding up the company was duly passed:—
"That it has been proved to the satisfaction of the company in general meeting that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and that the same be wound up accordingly."
And notice is hereby further given that at the same meeting Mr. WILLIAM RICHARD COOK, of Invercargill, Accountant and Trade Assignee, was appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.

S UBSCRIPTIONS.—The subscription is at the rate of 30s. per annum, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. A less period than three months cannot be subscribed for.
Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line for the first insertion and 3d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertion.
Statements under the Mining Act are uniformly charged 23s.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening in each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before three o'clock of the day preceding publication.
Communications should be addressed to the Government Printer, Wellington, to whom post-office money-orders should be made payable. Cheques should be crossed "Public a/c," and exchange added.
Postage- or duty-stamps cannot be received in payment from any place at which postal notes or post-office orders are issued.
Prepayment may be demanded in any case. In order to prevent delay in publication a sufficient remittance should accompany every advertisement. Any surplus will be returned with receipted account.
