Result of poll, taken on the 29th day of August, 1896, on a proposal to borrow £80, under “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” for the purpose of metalling on the Parkville West Road :—
Number of voters on special roll, 10; number of pollable votes, 10: Number of ratepayers who voted for the proposal, 6, representing 6 votes; number of ratepayers who voted against the proposal, 0.
I therefore declare the proposal carried.

MOA ROAD BOARD.
Result of poll of ratepayers of the Durham Road East Special Rating District, taken 9th September, 1896, upon the following proposal:—1. To metal a portion of the Durham Road East, starting from Section 30, Moa, eastwards to the Junction Road. 2. To borrow for such purpose the sum of £400 under “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886.” 3. To strike as security for such loan a special rate of ½d. in the pound. 4. To constitute the Durham Road East a special rating district, to comprise the following lands—viz., Sections part 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, part 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, and part 51, Moa:—
Total number of ratepayers on special roll, 17; total number of votes exercisable, 18: Total number of ratepayers who voted for the proposal, 10; total number of ratepayers who voted against the proposal, 1; total number of votes not recorded, 7.
I hereby declare the proposal carried.
