Vesting a Reserve in the Geraldine Town Board.

GLASGOW, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of August, 1896.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto was permanently reserved for a site for a public library by notification in the New Zealand Gazette of the eighth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-four, No. 19: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient that the said land should be vested in the Geraldine Town Board:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of "The Public Reserves Act, 1881," doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in "The Geraldine Town Board," in trust, for a site for a public library.

SCHEDULE.
All that parcel of land in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 18 perches, more or less, and being Section No. 152 of the Town of Geraldine.

Conferring Jurisdiction on Native Land Court in respect of Arahura Reserve.

GLASGOW, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of August, 1896.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it is necessary that the relative shares or interests of the Natives who have been found by the Native Land Court to be beneficially interested in or entitled to share in the rents and profits of the land specified in the Schedule hereto should be ascertained and determined, and that, for the purpose aforesaid, the necessary jurisdiction should be conferred on the said Court under the provisions of section fifteen of "The Native Land Court Act, 1894":
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section fifteen aforesaid, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the Native Land Court shall have jurisdiction to determine the relative shares and interests in the said land, and any and every matter or question incident thereto, and to do all acts necessary to be done for the purpose aforesaid. And the said Court is hereby authorised and empowered accordingly as from the first day of September, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six.

Notifying Lands in Auckland for Sale by Public Auction.

GLASGOW, Governor.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one hundred and thirteenth section of "The Land Act, 1892," I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Wednesday, the fourteenth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six, as the time at which the lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction at New Plymouth, and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto opposite the description of such lands respectively.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
Mokau Village.
Block I.: Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, each 1 rood; upset price per lot, £5. Lot 7, 1 rood 2 perches; upset price, £5 5s. Lot 8, 1 rood 5 perches; upset price, £5 10s. Lot 9, 1 rood 11 perches; upset price, £6 5s.
Block II.: Lots 1, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 10, each containing 1 rood; upset price per lot, £5.
Block III.: Lots 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, each containing 1 rood; upset price per lot, £5.
Block IV.: Lots 7, 9, each 1 rood; upset price, £5 per lot. Block V.: Lot 10, 1 rood; upset price, £5.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-third day of July, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one hundred and thirteenth section of "The Land Act, 1892," I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Wednesday, the twenty-first day of October, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six, as the time at which the lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction at Blenheim; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule.
