NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT WATER-RACE.

Otago Mining District, 27th July, 1896.
To the Warden at Roxburgh.

I HEREBY give notice that I intend to construct a water-race to divert and use water for mining purposes, commencing at a point in Teviot Stream, in Hercules No. 1 Saddle, about a quarter of a mile above Hercules No. 1 penstock, and terminating at Dumbarton Rock.

The length of such race is five miles and a quarter, or thereabouts, and its intended course is south-westerly, through Sections 1, 2, 3, Block VII., Teviot District, and Sections 9, 8, Block VII., Benger District.

The mean depth of such race is 2ft. 6in., and the mean breadth is 5ft. 6in., and it is proposed to divert 50 Government heads of water.

Cost of construction: £6,000.
Time required for construction: Nine months.
Number and date of miner's right: No. 4113; 24th August, 1895.
