The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted. The attention of intending tenderers is directed to the terms and conditions of contract printed at the back of the tender forms.
Successful tenderers will be required to show that they are in a position to satisfactorily carry out the services.
Contractors whose tenders may be accepted must be prepared to carry out the services for which they tender according to time-tables framed by the department.
Forms of tender, with the terms and conditions of contract, may be procured at any post-office.
No tender will be considered unless made on the printed form.
Tenders, indorsed “Tender for Mail Service, No. ,” to be addressed to the Chief Postmaster of the postal district to which the tender may specially refer.

Native Land Court Notices.
Order under Section 39 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894.”
IN THE NATIVE LAND COURT OF
NEW ZEALAND.
In the matter of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” and of an application by Tirawahine Tanahira, under section 39 of the said Act, for inclusion of her name in the list of owners of the Kinohaku West H (Moeatoa) Block.
WHEREAS the said application was referred by me to the Native Land Court for inquiry and report, and such inquiry was held at Otorohanga on the 3rd day of June, 1896, before Henry Dunbar Johnson, Esq., a Judge of the Court, and Reha Aperahama, Assessor: And whereas as the result of such inquiry it appears that the said Tirawahine Tanahira is entitled to be so included, and that her name has been omitted in error:
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers vested in me as Chief Judge of the said Court by section 39 aforesaid, I hereby order that the name of the said Tirawahine Tanahira be added to the list of owners of the said Kinohaku West H Block as the owner of three shares in the said block, and I direct that this order be published in the Gazette and Kahiti.
As witness my hand, this 6th day of August, 1896.

Notice of Inquiry under Section 118 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894.”
WHEREAS Richard Green Vaughan, of Hastings, Hawke’s Bay, a person claiming to have purchased from certain of the Native owners shares or interests in the Opoho No. 5 Block, and to have been prior to the date of the passing of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” in negotiation for the purchase of certain other shares or interests therein, has notified such claim to the Chief Judge of the Native Land Court, and to the Commissioner of Crown Lands for the Napier District, and has requested that an inquiry into the circumstances thereof may be held as provided by section 118 of the said Act: And whereas the Chief Judge has referred the said claim to William Gilbert Mair, Esquire, a Judge of the Native Land Court, for inquiry as aforesaid: I hereby give notice that such inquiry will be held at the Native Land Court House, Hastings, on the 24th day of August, 1896, at 10 a.m.
