Notice published pursuant to the Provisions of Section 15 of
"The Public Trust Office Consolidation Act, 1894."

NOTICE is hereby given that, no person having taken
out administration, the Public Trustee has filed in
the office of the Supreme Court at Wellington an election
to administer the several intestate estates of the persons
deceased whose names, residences, and occupations, so far
as known, are hereunder respectively set forth, their gross
properties being estimated not to exceed £250 in each case.

Werner Brodkorb (otherwise Beda Werner Brodkorb), late
of Melbourne, in the Colony of Victoria. Filed on the 7th
day of July, 1896.

Eveline Francis Rae Miller, late of Napier, in the Pro-
vincial District of Hawke’s Bay, a minor. Filed on the 9th
day of July, 1896.

William Henry, late of Russell’s Flat, in the Provincial
District of Canterbury, farmer. Filed on the 14th day of
July, 1896.

Susan Pow, late of Hokitika, in the Provincial District of
Westland, widow. Filed on the 14th day of July, 1896.

John Douglas Jackson, late of Christchurch, in the Pro-
vincial District of Canterbury, stableman. Filed on the
15th day of July, 1896.

Leases in Nelson for Sale by Public Auction.

Westport, 16th July, 1896.

NOTICE is hereby given that the leases of the town
lands enumerated in the First Schedule hereto will
be submitted to public auction by the Warden, at the Court-
house at Westport, on Wednesday, 19th August, 1896, at
12 o’clock noon, on the terms and conditions specified in the
Second Schedule hereto; a synopsis of the terms of the
leases to be entered into by each purchaser being given in
the Third Schedule hereto.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

CONDITIONS OF SALE.

  1. The highest bidder shall be the purchaser of the lease,
    and the amount bid shall be the annual rental thereof.

  2. The bidding shall be an increase on the upset rental,
    and shall advance at the rate of not less than 10 per cent.

  3. The purchaser shall forthwith deposit the sum of £1 10s.
    for the cost of survey and preparation of the lease, and also
    the first year’s rent, being the amount of his bid.

  4. Should the purchaser of the lease fail to comply with
    the third condition hereof, or should any dispute arise, the
    lease shall be put up again and resold.

  5. The lease shall be executed by the purchaser within
    thirty days from the date of notice that it is ready for
    execution, or the right to lease shall become forfeited, and
    any deposit paid on account thereof shall become forfeited
    also.

  6. No person can purchase or hold a lease of more than
    one section.

  7. No married woman, not having obtained a decree of
    judicial separation or protection order, shall be capable of
    becoming a lessee, excepting under a will or an intestacy.
