of Te Awamutu, to be Returning Officer for the purpose of conducting the first election of five members of the Board of Trustees of the Mangahoe Land Drainage District, as constituted under “The Land Drainage Act, 1893”; also to appoint Saturday, the 22nd day of August, 1896, to be the day for holding such first election; also to appoint Wednesday, the 26th day of August, 1896, at 3 o’clock in the afternoon, to be the time, and the office of the Rangiaohia Road Board at Te Awamutu to be the place, at which the first meeting of the trustees shall be held.

MOA ROAD BOARD.—SPECIAL ORDER.
THAT, to secure the repayment of a loan of £2,000 raised under “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” in conjunction with the Clifton County Council, for the purpose of metalling a portion of the Junction Road from Kaimata Road to Tarata Bridge, a special rate of ⅝d. in the pound be made and levied over the following lands, which are hereby constituted the “Junction Road Special Rating District”:
Sections 7, 8 (9, in two subdivisions), 10, 11, 12, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, Block II., Huiroa Survey District; Sections 1, 8, 9, 10, 11, 14, 16, 50, 51, 52, 53, 58, 59, Block III., Huiroa Survey District; Sections 19, 43, Block VI., Huiroa Survey District; Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, Block VII., Huiroa Survey District; Sections 3, 4, 5, Block VIII., Huiroa Survey District; Sections 1, 9, 11, 12, Block XIV., Waitara Survey District.
Such rate to be an annual-recurring rate for twenty-six years, and to be payable in two half-yearly instalments on the 1st day of January and the 1st day of July in each year.

TE HORO ROAD BOARD.
Copy of special order making special rate as security on additional loan of £50 for Special District No. 3—viz., part Section 11, 226 acres; Sections 12, 13, 15, 16, 17, Block IV., Kaitawa Survey District:—
“That this Board do now confirm the special and annually-recurring rate of ¹⁄₁₀d. in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable properties comprised in the Special District No. 3 of the Te Horo Road District, as made and defined by special order confirmed on Saturday, the 3rd November, 1894 (exclusive of Crown and Native lands within the meaning of ‘The Crown and Native Lands Rating Act, 1882’), to provide for interest for twenty-six years on the additional loan of £50 under ‘The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,’ for the said Special District No. 3; such rate to be payable in two instalments on the 1st day of December and the 1st day of June in each and every succeeding year: and that the rate be now struck.”
I hereby certify that the above special order was duly made at an ordinary meeting of the Te Horo Road Board held on Saturday, the 30th May, 1896, and confirmed at a special meeting held on Saturday, the 4th July, 1896, in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”
