A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken for a further portion of
the Waikato-Thames Railway—namely, remaining portion
of the Paeroa-Te Aroha Section:
And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to
be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land
in the manner hereby provided have been observed and
performed:
Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor
of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers
and authorities conferred by section one hundred and sixty-
seven of "The Public Works Act, 1894," and of every other
power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf,
do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in
the Schedule hereto is taken for the further portion of the
said line of railway hereinbefore specified.

office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in

red, green, purple, yellow, and blue.

Declaring the "Queensland Tick" a Disease for the Purposes
of "The Stock Act, 1893."—Notice No. 443.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this tenth day
of July, 1896.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in him by "The Stock Act, 1893," His Excel-
lency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the
disease known as the "Queensland tick" (Boophilus bovis,
or other species), which affects cattle, is a disease for the
purposes of "The Stock Act, 1893," and shall be subject to
the regulations made thereunder, and now in force; and it
is hereby declared that this Order in Council shall come
into force from and after the date of the publication hereof
in the New Zealand Gazette.

Regulation under "The Factories Act, 1894."

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this thirteenth
day of July, 1896.

His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS by "The Factories Act, 1894," it is enacted
that the Governor in Council may from time to
time make, alter, and repeal regulations not inconsistent
with the said Act, for the several purposes specified in that
behalf: And whereas it appears expedient to make the
regulation hereinafter set forth:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the
powers conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, doth hereby make the regulation hereinafter set
forth, that is to say:—
The certificate of fitness prescribed by section 59 of "The
Factories Act, 1894," shall be in the form or to the effect
following, that is to say,—
CERTIFICATE UNDER SECTION 59 OF "THE FACTORIES ACT,
1894.
I, A.B., the Inspector of Factories and Workrooms for the
District of [Name of district], hereby certify that I am satis-
fied, by the production of a certificate of birth [if such certi-
ficate is produced; and, if not, then by sufficient evidence],
that C.D. is of the age of [Set out age], and fit for employ-
ment in the factory or workroom of [Name of employer], in
the trade of [Name of trade], in this district [and, if the
Inspector thinks fit, and in all factories or workrooms, or
such of them as the Inspector specifies herein, in the same line
of trade in this district].
