Withdrawing Land in Southland from Selection as Small Grazing-runs.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the sixth section of "The Land Act, 1892," I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby declare that from and after the day of the date hereof the Proclamation of the twentieth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-three, by His Excellency the Governor, setting apart the land mentioned in the Schedule thereto for leasing as small grazing-runs, shall be and the same is hereby revoked in so far as it relates to the land enumerated in the Schedule hereto.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.

Run 28, 3,168 acres; Run 29, 2,879 acres, Hokonui Survey District.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this eighth day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six.

Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Road in Mount Eden Road District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto forms part of land reserved for the purposes of the Kaipara Branch Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a road:

And whereas it has been certified by the Minister for Railways that such land is not required for railway purposes: And whereas such land is situated in the Mount Eden Road District, the local authority of which has consented to the issue of this Proclamation:

And whereas His Excellency the Governor is of opinion that the said local authority can conveniently construct and maintain the said road:

Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by section one hundred and seventy-seven of "The Public Works Act, 1894," and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be under the control of the Mount Eden Road Board, and shall be maintained by the said Board in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Board.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 12 perches, more or less, situate at Mount Eden, on the Kaipara Branch Railway, being a portion of Lot No. 1, Section 10, Suburbs of Auckland. Bounded towards the south-east by the Mount Eden Road, a distance of 88·7 links; towards the south-west by the south-west boundary of the railway land, a distance of 159·2 links; towards the north-west by a line bearing 81° 26', a distance of 45·1 links; and on the north-east by a line bearing 121° 47', a distance of 99·2 links: as the said parcel of land is more particularly delineated on the plan marked 6647, deposited in the office of the Minister for Railways, at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
