BANK OF NEW ZEALAND.
Bank of New Zealand,
Wellington, 23rd January, 1896.
N OTICE is hereby given that the Board of Directors of
the Bank of New Zealand, in pursuance of section 9
of “The Bank of New Zealand and Banking Act, 1895,”
have made a call of £3 6s. 8d. per share on all ordinary
shares, as defined by “The Bank of New Zealand Share
Guarantee Act, 1894”; and that such call will be payable
by four equal instalments of 16s. 8d. each per share at the
office of the Bank of New Zealand in Wellington by share-
holders on the colonial registers, and at the office of the
Bank of New Zealand in London by shareholders on the
London register. The first instalment to be paid on the
30th day of June, 1896; the second on the 31st day of
December, 1896; the third on the 30th day of June, 1897;
and the fourth on the 31st day of December, 1897.

office of the bank, and remitted free of charge to the place

In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1882,” and in the
matter of S. Anderson and Company (Limited).
N OTICE is hereby given that the following special reso-
lutions for winding up the above-named company
voluntarily were duly passed at a general meeting of the
shareholders of the said company held on the 24th day of
December, 1895, and duly confirmed at a subsequent
general meeting of the said shareholders held this day—that
is to say:—
- “That the company trading as S. Anderson and Com-
pany (Limited) be wound up voluntarily.” - “That Charles Nicholson Macintosh, of Timaru, Ac-
countant, be appointed Liquidator in the winding-up of the
said company.”

DUNEDIN SAVINGS-BANK.
REDUCTION OF RATE OF INTEREST.
N OTICE is hereby given that on and after 1st May,
1896, the rate of interest payable to depositors in
this bank will be reduced from 4 per cent. to 3½ per cent.

(Limited); and in the matter of “The Companies Act,
1882,” and its amendments.
I, FREDERICK GEORGE MORGAN, Registrar of
the Supreme Court for the District of Southland, do
hereby notify that an affidavit, a copy of which is hereunder
given, by George James Parker, Secretary of the Ocean
Beach Refrigerating Company (Limited), has been lodged
in the Resident Magistrate's Court at Invercargill, and for-
warded to me, and that unless notice of objection be lodged
with me within sixty days of this date I shall proceed to
declare the said company to be dissolved in manner provided
by “The Companies Act, 1882.”

I, GEORGE JAMES PARKER, of the Bluff, in the Provincial
District of Otago and Colony of New Zealand, Secretary of
the Ocean Beach Refrigerating Company (Limited), incor-
porated under “The Companies Act, 1882,” do hereby make
oath and say,—
- That the nominal capital of the said company is £50,000,
divided into 10,000 shares of £5 each. - That the shares have been fully paid up.
- That the company has no assets, and has ceased to carry
on its operations.
And I, the said George James Parker, as such Secretary,
do hereby apply for declaration of dissolution of such com-
pany.

PATENT OFFICE SUPPLEMENT.
A SPECIAL Supplement to the New Zealand Gazette is
now published fortnightly, containing all notices con-
cerning patents and trade-marks required by law to be
gazetted; also, particulars of lapsed applications for patents,
expired letters patent, and other information useful to in-
ventors, manufacturers, and others. The Supplement will
be issued free to subscribers to the Gazette, and to others on
payment of a subscription of ten shillings per annum, pay-
able in advance to the Government Printer.

THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
S UBSCRIPTIONS.—The subscription is at the rate of 30s.
per annum, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. A less period than
three months cannot be subscribed for.
Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line for
the first insertion and 3d. per line for the second and any
subsequent insertion.
Statements under the Mining Act are uniformly charged
2s.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible
hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday even-
ing in each week, and notices for insertion must be received
by the Government Printer before three o'clock of the day
preceding publication.
Communications should be addressed to the Government
Printer, Wellington, to whom post-office money-orders
should be made payable. Cheques should be crossed “Pub-
lic a/c,” and exchange added.
Postage- or duty-stamps cannot be received in payment
from any place at which postal notes or post-office orders are
issued.
Prepayment may be demanded in any case. In order to
prevent delay in publication a sufficient remittance should
accompany every advertisement. Any surplus will be
returned with receipted account.
