by the end of the second year, and four years' rent at the end of the sixt year; and on bus land, in addition thereto, improvemts must be made to the value of 10s. an acr if first-class land, or of 5s. an acr if second-class land.

One half-year's rent and £1 1s. for the leas must be paid immediately the application is declared successful; the rent to be paid half-yearly in advance during the term of the leas. The next payment of rent will become due on the 1st September, 1896.

The lesse has no right to purchase any part of the land; but he can select 150 acrs around the homestad through which no road can be taken or other public privileg exercised without compensatio.

That I am not already the holder of any such leas in any part of the colny, nor have I any interest in any such leas.

That I am not the holder of any run under Part V. of the aforesaid Act, nor have I any interest in any such run.

That I do not own any freehold land or land held by leas or license of any kind whatever anywhere in the colny, either by myself or jointly with any other person, which, exclusive of the land I am now purchaing the leas of, will exceed in area 1,000 acrs.
And I make this solemn declaratio conscienciously believing the same to be true, and by virtue of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealnd intituled "The Justices of the Peac Act, 1882." (Signatur.)

IT is herby notifed that the under-mentioned pastoral lands, sitated in the Canterbury and Otago Land Districts, will be submitted to public auctio at the Crwn Lands Office, Dunein, on Friday, the 28th day of February, 1896, at 11 a.m.
SCHEDULE.
PASTORAL LANDS.
(Under Part V. of "The Land Act, 1892.")
Run No. 94, Canterbury Land District, grouped with Runs Nos. 429 and 429c, Otago Land District, Waitaki County: Area, 50,770 acrs; term, five years; upst annual rent, £30; valuation for improvemts, £50.
These runs contain from 18,000 to 23,000 acrs of fair grazing-land, but the remaining portion is bus land, or rather high rough country.
The improvemts consist of a four-rooed house, wool-shed, and outbuildings, all of which are rather out of repair.
The above runs will be sold generally in accordanc with the provisio of Part V. of "The Land Act, 1892."
