A PPLICATION having been made to me for the issue of
a provisional perpetual lease for Section 23, Block
VII., Cheviot Survey District, Vol. clxv., folio 10, of the
Register-book, whereof JOHN THOMAS HULLEN, of
Cheviot, farmer, is the lessee, and a statutory declaration of
the loss of the original lease having been lodged with me, I
hereby give notice that I will issue such provisional perpe-
tual lease as requested at the expiration of fourteen days
from the date of the Gazette containing this notice.
Dated at the Lands Registry Office, Christchurch, this
17th day of June, 1896.

A PPLICATION having been made to me to register
dealings affecting Section 143, Taringatura District,
being the land described in Mortgage No. 5267, given by John
Templeton and John Templeton to Anne Caroline Dennis-
toun and Elizabeth Dennistoun, and evidence having been
lodged with me of the loss of the outstanding duplicate of
the said mortgage, I hereby give notice that I intend to
register such dealing and dispense with the production of
the said duplicate mortgage unless caveat be lodged for-
bidding the same within fourteen days from the date of the
gazetting of this notice.

NOTICE is hereby given that I, JENS MORTENSEN JENSEN,
of Napier, in the Provincial District of Hawke’s Bay,
in the Colony of New Zealand, Watchmaker, hitherto called
or known by the name of Jens Peter Mortensen, have
assumed the name of Jens Mortensen Jensen in lieu and
substitution of the name of Jens Peter Mortensen; and
that I now do, and at all times hereafter will, in all deeds,
writings, dealings, transactions, and documents, and in all
legal and other proceedings, affairs, occasions, and matters
whatsoever, use the name of Jens Mortensen Jensen as and
for my name, in lieu and substitution of the aforesaid name
of Jens Peter Mortensen. As testified by deed poll under
my hand and seal dated the sixteenth day of June, one
thousand eight hundred and ninety-six, and filed in the
office of the Registrar of the Supreme Court of New Zea-
land at Napier.

now residing in Wellington, hereby give notice that I intend
applying on the 27th July next to have my name placed on
the Medical Register of the Colony of New Zealand, and
that I have deposited the evidence of my qualification in the
office of the Registrar-General.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hereto-
fore subsisting between FRANK WILLIAM GIBSON and
ALFRED TYREE, trading at Christchurch, Auckland, and
elsewhere in New Zealand, under the style or firm of
“Gavin, Gibson, and Co.,” has been dissolved by mutual
consent. Mr. Alfred Tyree has purchased the stock of the
said firm in New Zealand, and all indents and goods to
arrive, and will hereafter carry on business on the premises
heretofore occupied by the late firm on his own account,
under the name, style, or firm of “Alfred Tyree and Co.”
Persons having claims against the late firm of Gavin,
Gibson, and Co. are requested to render the same, and all
persons owing money to the said firm are requested to pay
the same, to Mr. A. H. Norman, at his office, 155, Lichfield
Street, Christchurch.

I, WALTER HISLOP, Manager of the Perpetual
Trustees Estate and Agency Company of New Zea-
land (Limited), do solemnly and sincerely declare—
- That the liability of members is limited.
- That the capital of the company is £106,250, divided
into 25,000 shares of £4 5s. - That the number of shares issued is 21,669.
- That calls to the amount of seven shillings and six-
pence per share have been made, under which the sum of
£8,125 17s. 6d. has been received. - That the amount of all moneys received on account of
estates under administration during the half-year ending
thirtieth day of April, 1896, is £5,869 11s. 8d. - That the amount of all moneys paid on account of
estates under administration during the half-year ending
thirtieth day of April, 1896, is £8,287 11s. 3d. - That the amount of the balance held to the credit of
estates under administration during the half-year ending
thirtieth day of April, 1896, is £1,574 18s. 3d. - That the liabilities of the company on the first day of
May last were debts owing to sundry persons by the com-

On estimated liabilities, nil. - That the assets of the company on that date were—
Government securities, nil.
Bills of exchange and promissory notes, £53 8s. 4d.

Cash at banker’s and on deposit, £5,404 18s. 1d.
And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously be-
lieving the same to be true, and by virtue of the provisions
of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled
“The Justices of the Peace Act, 1882.”
