Section No. 270 of Block I., Blackstone Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by a road-line, 3692 links; towards the north-east by Crown lands, 324 links; towards the south-east by Otago Central Railway Reserve, 3700 links; and towards the south-west by Crown lands, 421 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Dunedin.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this thirteenth day of January, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six.

Amending Areas of Reserves in the Nelson Land District.

GLASGOW, Governor.

WHEREAS by the two hundred and thirty-ninth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that where there has been any error of description made in any notification of any intended reserve, or where there appears a great discrepancy in the area of any intended reserve after the same shall have been surveyed, the Governor may cancel any notification that may have been made in respect of such reserve, and issue fresh notification in respect thereof, with amended particulars and description: And whereas errors were made in the areas of the reserves in the Nelson Land District enumerated in the Schedule hereto in the warrant of the second day of March, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-four, published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 19, of the eighth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-four, reserving the land; and it is expedient to cancel the said notification in so far as it relates to the said reserves:

Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the warrant of the second day of March, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-four, in so far as it relates to the reserves enumerated in the Schedule hereto; and do declare that the lands contain the areas specified in the said Schedule hereto, and that they are reserved for the purposes stated in the second column of the said Schedule, being the same purposes for which the said lands were originally reserved.

Removal of Restrictions on Alienation of Native Land.

GLASGOW, Governor.

WHEREAS application has been made to the Governor by the owner of the land described in the Schedule hereto, praying that the restrictions on the alienation of such land contained in the Crown grant bearing date the first day of January, one thousand eight hundred and ninety (antevesting from the twenty-seventh day of June, one thousand eight hundred and fifty-nine), may be removed: And whereas inquiry has been duly made by the Native Land Court, and the said Court has recommended that such restrictions be removed:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the fifty-second section of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” and in accordance with the recommendation of the Native Land Court, doth hereby order and declare that all restrictions imposed by the said Crown grant on the alienation of the said land are hereby removed.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land, containing 100 acres, being Section 4, Block IV, Ruataniwha Survey District, held under Crown grant dated 1st January, 1890, in favour of Karaitiana Takamoana, and containing the following restrictions: “Inalienable by sale, or by lease for a longer period than twenty-one years, or by mortgage, except with the consent of the Governor being obtained to every such sale, lease, or mortgage.”

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this thirteenth day of January, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six.

Removal of Restrictions on Alienation of Native Land.

GLASGOW, Governor.

WHEREAS application has been made to the Governor by the owners of the land described in the Schedule hereto, praying that the restrictions on the alienation of such land contained in the division order made by the Native Land Court under the provisions of “The Native Lands Division Act, 1882,” bearing date the sixth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, and now contained in Land Transfer certificate bearing date the nineteenth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-five (Vol. xxxiv., folio 162), may be removed: And whereas inquiry has been duly made by the Native Land Court, and the said Court has recommended that such restrictions be removed:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the fifty-second section of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” and in accordance with the recommendation of the Native Land Court, doth hereby order and declare that all restrictions imposed by the said Land Transfer certificate on the alienation of the said land are hereby removed.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land, containing 602 acres 3 roods 22 perches, situate in the District of Poverty Bay, being the land known as the Mangaorae No. 1s Block, held under Land Transfer certificate dated 19th September, 1895 (Vol. xxxiv., folio 162), and containing the following restrictions: “That the land may be leased for any term not exceeding twenty-one years, but shall be otherwise inalienable except with the consent of the Governor.”

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this thirteenth day of January, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six.

Removal of Restrictions on Alienation of Native Land.

WHEREAS application has been made to the Governor by the Native owners of the land described in the Schedule hereto, praying that the restrictions on the alienation of such land contained in the Crown grant bearing date the thirteenth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-two, may be removed: And whereas inquiry has been duly made by the Native Land Court, and the said Court has recommended that such restrictions be removed:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the fifty-second section of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” and in accordance with the recommendation of the Native Land Court, doth hereby order and declare that all restrictions imposed by the said Crown grant on the alienation of the said land are hereby removed.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land, containing 46 acres, being section 11 of Block VI., Takapau Survey District, held under Crown grant dated the 13th February, 1882, in favour of Hiraka Tuhua and 9 others, and containing the following restrictions: “Inalienable by sale, or by lease for a longer period than twenty-one years, or by mortgage, except with the consent of the Governor being previously obtained to any such sale, lease, or mortgage.”

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this sixteenth day of January, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six.
