Lease from THE PUBLIC TRUSTEE to HUGH
THOMAS of part of Subdivision 1A of Native Reserve
No. 30 of Block XIII., situated in the Waimea Survey
District, and containing 29 acres 3 roods 1 perch, for a
term of twenty-one years, at a yearly rental of £6, from
the 1st day of July, 1893 ; and also to register a Lease from
THE PUBLIC TRUSTEE to RICHARD EDWARD
JONES of 33 acres and 30 perches of land, being part of
Subdivision 1A of Native Reserve No. 30 of Block XIII.,
situated in the Waimea Survey District, for a term of
twenty-one years, at the yearly rent of £6, from the 1st day
of July, 1893. And notice is hereby given of my intention to
dispense with the production of certificate of title of Hori
Kerei Taiaroa, Kini Kerei Taiaroa, and Riki te Mairaki
Taiaroa, Vol. ix., folio 144, for the purpose of entering
thereon memorials of registration of the before-mentioned
leases. And further take notice that the said leases will be
registered as notified above unless caveat forbidding the said
registration be lodged within fourteen days from the date of
the Gazette containing this notice.

increase of capital was, on the tenth day of April, one
thousand eight hundred and ninety-six, resolved on.
The mode adopted for the increase is by issuing twenty-
seven new shares of thirty (30) pounds each, in addition to

WAIMATA ROAD BOARD.
NOTICE is hereby given that this Board proposes to
execute a certain public work, and for that purpose
to take the lands described in the accompanying Schedule,
in terms of “The Public Works Act, 1894.”
The occupiers of the land are Messrs. H. McPhail and the
firm of Heale and Lysnar.
The works proposed to be undertaken are formation, and
drains for the passage of surface-water.
All persons having an objection to the taking of this land
must send their objections, in writing, to the office of the
Board, Waimata Valley, on or before the 1st day of June,
1896.
A plan of the lands to be taken may be seen at the office
of the Board, Waimata Valley, and at the office of the Cook
County Council, Gisborne.
