Sale of Kauri Timbe in Waitawheta Bush, Auckland.

Distrct Lands and Survery Office,
Auckand, 13th March, 1896.

NOTICE is hereb given that the under-mentioned kauri
timber, situate on the Waitawheta River, within
Block V., V., and X., Te Aroha Surve District, and

[No. 23

Block III. and XI., Kaitikati Surve District, will be offered
for sale by public aucton, at this office, on Friday, the 15th
May, 1896:—

17,500,000 feet kauri timbe. Upset price, £8,750.

This timbe can be easily got into the Waitawheta River
and floate down to Frankin's Flt.

Conditions of sale: One-forth of the purchase-mone to
be paid on the fall of the hamme; one-forth on the 1st
Jauary, 1898; one-forth on the 1st Jauary, 1900; and
the balance on the 1st Jauary, 1902. Timbe to be removed
within seven years from date of sale.

Plans, &c., can be seen at this office, and at the Post-offices at Thame, Paeroa, Waihi, Te Aroha, and Taurang.

Smal Grazing-runs, Marlborough, open for Leas on
Application.

Blenhein, 23rd March, 1896.

NOTICE is hereb given that the under-mentioned small
grazing-runs will be open for leas on application, at
the Distrct Lands and Survery Office, Blenheim, on and
after Wednesday, the 27th May, 1896, at the annual rent
noted below. If more than one application be received for
the runs on the same day, priority of selection will be de-cided by ballt on the following day, at 11 a.m.

Run 74, about 690 aces mixed buh, balance burnt buh
with a little grass; fair oil on lower slopes, poor on ridges;
well watered; about seveteen miles from Blenheim. Run
78, all forest, very broken, pastoral, birch buh, with a few
rimu; poor oil; well watered; about sixteen miles from
Blenhein.

CONDITIONS OF LEASE.

  1. The term of leas is twent-oe years, with the option
    of renewl for a further period of twent-oe years, at a rent
    to be fixed by valuation, and improvement being securd to
    lesse as provided by "The Land Act, 1892," section 132.
    Each lesse is required to make the declartion as per form
    printd below.

  2. No person can leas more than one run.

  3. Residenc on the run is compulsory, and commences
    within three years in buh or swam land, and within one
    year in open or partl open land, unless the lesse obtain
    the consent of the Land Board to resie on other land in
    hie occupatn.

  4. Permanent improvement must be effected equal to one
    year's rent by the end of the first year, two years' rent by
    the end of the second year, and four years' rent at the
    end of the sith year; and on buh land, in addition thereto,
    improvement must be made to the value of 10s. an acr if
    first-class land, or of 5s. an acr if second-class land.

  5. One half-year's rent and £1 1s. for the leas must be
    paid immediately the application is declared successful; the
    rent to be paid half-yearly in advance during the term of the
    leas. The next payment of rent will become due on the
    1st March, 1897.

  6. The lesse has no right to purchase any part of the land;
    but he can select 150 aces around the homestad through
    which no road can be taken or other public privileg exercis
    d without compensatn.

DECLARATION.

I, __, of* __, do solemnly and sincerely declare—

  1. That I am of the age of seveteen years and upwads.
  2. That I am the person who, subject to the provisins of
    "The Land Act, 1892," am desirous of becoming the pur-chaser of a leas of Run No.†
  3. That I am purchasig such leas solel for my own use
    and benefit, and not, directly or indireclt, for the use of
    any other person or persons whatever.
  4. That I am not alread the holder of any such leas in
    any part of the colon, nor have I any interest in any such
    leas.
  5. That I am not the holder of any run under Part V. of
    the aforesaid Act, nor have I any interest in any such
    run.
