  1. In the event of the lessee falling to complly with any
    of the covenants hereinbefore mentioned relaling to the
    trimming of live fnces and stubbing gorse, broom, and
    sweetbriar, and to the cleaning, clearing from wecds, and
    keping open all creeks, dains, dites, and watercouscs, it
    shll be lawful for the said Commisioner to have such work
    done, and to recover the cost of the same from the lessee.
  2. All buildings, fnces, and other improvcments erccted
    upon the land shall be kept in good order and repair.
  3. The lessee shall be liable for all rates, taxes, and
    assessments during the term.
  4. Subjct as aforesaid, the provisios of "The Land Act,
    1892," and regulations made thereunder with respect to ap-
    lications for and the grant of lases in perpctuity, shall
    apply, so far as applicable, to all applications for lases
    under "The Land for Settlemets Act, 1894. "

Shedule.--Declaraiton on appling for a Leas under "The
Land for Settlemets Act, 1894. "

I, A.B., do solemnly and sincerely declare,--

  1. That I am of the age of seveteen years and upwads.
  2. That I am the person who, subject to the provisios of
    "The Land for Settlemets Act, 1894," am appling for the
    purchase of a leas.
  3. That I am acquring such leas soly for my own use
    and benefit, and not directly or indirecly for the use or
    benfit of any other person or persons whomsocver.
  4. That, including the lands now apied for, I am not the
    owner, teant, or occupier, directly or indirecly, either by
    myself or jointly with any other person or persons, of any
    land acqired under "The Land for Settlemets Act, 1894,"
    or of any lands anywhere in the colny, excding in the
    whole 640 acrs of land (or 320 acrs in the case of a mried
    wman).
  5. That I have not, within one year from the date hereof,
    surrendered a leas in perpctuity of the lands for a leas
    whereof I am now aplying.
    And I make this solemn declaraiton conscintiously be-
    lieving the same to be true, and by virtue of an Act of the
    General Assembly of New Zalnd intituled "The Justices
    of the Pece Act, 1882. "

Ntive Land Court Notices.

IN THE Ntive Land Court,
Nw ZEALAND.

In the matter of a decision of the Court, given at Maketu on
the 29th day of June, 1895, appointing successos to the
interests of Maramena Kerokorio (deceased) in the subdi-
visions of the Rotohahana-Parekaraagi Block, and of an
appeal by Te Puhirata Eru and others therefrom.

NOTICE is hreby given that the said appellants have,
by notice in writing to me, and with the leave of the
Chif Jdge, withdrawn the said appeal.
Dated at Auckland, this 18th day of December, 1895.

Notice of Inqiry under Section 118 of "The Ntive Land
Court Act, 1894. "

WHERAS Akinhi Pini, a person claimig to have
purchaed from certain of the Ntive owners shares
or interests in the Moehau No. 1h Block, and to have been
prior to the date of the passing of "The Ntive Land Court
Act, 1894," in negotiatio for the purchase of certain other
shres or interests therein, has notifed such claim to the
Chif Jdge of the Ntive Land Court, and to the Com-
missioner of Cron Lands for the Auckland District, and
has requested that an inqiry into the circumstances thereof
mab be held as provided by section 118 of the said Act:
And whreas the Chif Jdge has referred the said claim
to a Jdge of the Ntive Land Court for inqiry as aforesaid:
I hereb give notice that such inqiry will be held
at the Ntive Land Court House, Shortland, Thams, on
the 15th day of January, 1896, at 10 a.m.
Dated at Auckland, this 20th day of December, 1895.

I hereb give notice that such inqiry will be held at the
Ntive Land Court House, Masterton, on the 24th day of
Jnuary, 1896, at 10 a.m.
