The following notice, received from the Chairan of the Fitzherbert Road Board, is published in acordance with the provissons of "The Local Bodes' Loan Act, 1886.``

Result of a pol taken at the schoolhouse, Fitzherbert East, on Saturday, the 29th February, 1896, upon a proposal to raise a loan of £2,500, under "The Local Bodes' Loan Act, 1886," for the construction of the Clif Road, Fitzherbert East, commencing at the north-west boundry of Section 206, Block XV., Kairang Surve District, from thence for a distance of about 125 chain, to form a juncion with the main road east, near the north-east boundry of Section 221, Block XV., Kairang Surve District, both sections being in the Fitzherbert Road District:—

Number of ratepayers on special roll, 38, representing 85 votes: 24 ratepayers, representing 52 votes, voted in favour of the said loan; 5 ratepayers, representing 11 votes, voted against the proposal; 9 ratepayers, representing 21 votes, were not recorded; and there was one inform vote: ma-
