behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said colony, doth hereby declare that the land
shown upon such map, and described in the Schedule hereto,
shall be deemed to be taken for the purpose of the said road,
and the said land shall vest in Her Majesty as from the fourth
of January, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this third day
of December, 1895.

Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto
are required to be taken for a public work, to wit,
the construction of a road known as the Te Roto Road, in
Otaki Road District:
And whereas the said lands are held or occupied by Native
owners under a title which is not derived from the Crown:
And whereas a map in duplicate has been prepared of the
said lands by the Otaki Road Board, as required by the
eighty-eighth section of "The Public Works Act, 1894":
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
vested in him by the eighty-eighth section of the said Act,
and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this
behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Execu-
tive Council of the said colony, doth hereby declare that the
land shown upon such map, and described in the Schedule
hereto, shall be deemed to be taken for the purpose of the
said road, and the said land shall vest in the Otaki Road
Board as from the fourth of January, one thousand eight
hundred and ninety-six.

Notifying Lands in Otago for Sale by Public Auction.

GLASGOW, Governor.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon
me by the one hundred and thirteenth section of "The
Land Act, 1892," I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Wednesday,
the twelfth day of February, one thousand eight hundred
and ninety-six, as the time at which the lands enumerated
in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction, at
Dunedin; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said
lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule
hereto opposite the description of such lands respectively.

this fifth day of November, one thousand eight
hundred and ninety-five.

the nineteenth day of February, one thousand eight hundred
and ninety-six, as the time at which the lands enumerated
in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction at Inver-
cargill; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands
shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto
opposite the description of such lands respectively.
