Result of Poll for Proposed Loan, Moa Road Board, County of Taranaki.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Moa Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1886."

Moa Road Board.

Result of poll of ratepayers of the Lincoln Road Special Rating District, taken 2nd October, 1895, upon the following proposal: (1) To metal a portion of the Lincoln Road, from Section 249, Huirangi, eastward; (2) to borrow for such purpose the sum of £200, under "The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886"; (3) to strike as security for such loan a special rate of 1½d. in the pound; (4) to constitute the "Lincoln Road Special Rating District," to comprise the following lands—viz., Sections 249, 231, 244, 247, 234, 248, 245, Huirangi Survey District:—

Total number of ratepayers on special roll, 6; total number of votes exercisable, 6; Number of ratepayers who voted for the proposal, 5; number of ratepayers who voted against the proposal, 1.

I hereby declare the proposal carried.

Notice of Intention to take Land for the Blackball Road, Grey County.

NOTICE is hereby given that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the provisions of "The Public Works Act, 1894," for a certain public work, to wit, the construction of the Blackball Road, Grey County: And notice is further given that the plan of the said land so required to be taken is deposited in the Post-office, Blackball, and is there open for inspection, and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth such objection in writing, and send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Minister for Public Works, Wellington.
