Powers delegated to the Tinwald Domain Board under “The
Public Domains Act, 1881.”

GLASGOW, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this eighth day
of November, 1895.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities
vested in him by “The Public Domains Act, 1881,” His
Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
thereof, doth hereby revoke a certain Order in Council, dated
the fourteenth day of October, one thousand eight hundred
and ninety-five, making delegation of certain powers in
manner as therein appears; and doth, with the like advice
and consent, by this present Order, delegate, but only with
respect to the piece or parcel of land described in the
Schedule hereto, all the powers conferred by the Act afore-
said, except the powers under or conferred by sections five
and twelve thereof, to the under-mentioned persons, who
shall be known as the Tinwald Public Domain Board,
namely,--

EDWARD GEORGE WRIGHT,
JOHN GRIGG,
EDWARD GATES,
GEORGE MCLEAN BUCKLEY, and
JAMES HESELTINE

(hereinafter referred to as “the Board”), subject to the
stipulations hereinafter contained, that is to say,--

  1. The Board shall meet for the transaction of business on
    the first Tuesday in each month, at half-past two o'clock
    p.m., at the County Council Office, or at such other time or
    place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board. The
    first meeting shall be held on Tuesday, the third day of
    December, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-five.

  2. Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman or
    by any two members of the Board, provided that two days'
    notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying
    the business to be transacted at such special meeting; and
    no other business than that so specified shall be transacted
    at such meeting.

  3. Any three of the said Board shall form a quorum. Any
    meeting may be adjourned from time to time.

  4. The members of the Board shall, at their first meeting,
    and thereafter at an annual meeting to be held on the
    first Monday in December in every succeeding year there-
    after, elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join
    in the discussion, and shall have an original as well as a
    casting vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the elec-
    tion of his successor.

  5. If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the
    time appointed for holding the same, the members present
    shall choose some one of their number to be chairman of
    such meeting.

  6. If, by resignation, death, or incapacity, or otherwise,
    the office of Chairman shall be or become vacant, the mem-
    bers may at any monthly or special meeting appoint a
    Chairman.

  7. All questions shall be determined by the majority of
    votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Canterbury Land District,
being portion of Reserve No. 350 (in red), containing by
admeasurement 230 acres, more or less. Bounded towards
the north-east by Section No. 3936; towards the south-east
by Sections Nos. 6022 and 6023, and also by Reserves Nos.
2064 and 2275, and by a road; towards the south-west by
Reserve No. 350; and towards the north-west by the north-
west boundary of Reserve No. 350.

“The Public Domains Act, 1881.”

At the Government House, at Wellington, this eighth day
of November, 1895.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities
vested in him by “The Public Domains Act, 1881,” His
Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
thereof, doth hereby revoke a certain Order in Council, dated
the twentieth day of October, one thousand eight hundred
and ninety-two, making delegations of certain powers in

manner as therein appears; and doth, with the like advice
and consent, by this present Order, delegate, but only with
respect to the piece or parcel of land described in the
Schedule hereto, all the powers conferred by the Act afore-
said, except the powers under or conferred by sections five
and twelve thereof, to

“The Inhabitants of the Omaha Road District,”
which shall be known as the Whangateau Domain Board
(hereinafter referred to as “the Board”), subject to the
stipulations hereinafter contained, that is to say,--

  1. The Board shall meet for the transaction of business on
    the second Monday in each month, at seven o'clock p.m., at
    the Road Board offices, or at such other time or place as
    may from time to time be fixed by the Board. The first
    meeting shall be held on Monday, the ninth day of De-
    cember, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-five.

  2. Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman or
    by any two members of the Board, provided that two days'
    notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying
    the business to be transacted at such special meeting, and no
    other business than that so specified shall be transacted at
    such meeting.

  3. Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time.

  4. The members of the Board shall, at their first meeting,
    and thereafter at an annual meeting to be held on the second
    Monday in January in every succeeding year thereafter,
    elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the

ALL that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, being
Section No. 156a of the Parish of Omaha, and containing
by admeasurement 15 acres and 20 perches, more or less.
Bounded towards the north generally by a public road,
479, 136, and 603 links; towards the east by Section No.
156c of the Parish of Omaha, 1069 links; towards the south
by Whangateau Harbour; towards the south-west by Section
No. 156b of the Parish of Omaha, 500 links; towards the
north-west, and again towards the south-west, by Section No.
156d of the Parish of Omaha, 200 and 250 links respectively ;
and again towards the north-west by a public road, 942 links,
to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages
more or less.

Rangiwahia Recreation-ground brought under “The Public
Domains Act, 1881.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this eighth day
of November, 1895.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by
the twenty-fourth section of “The Public Reserves
Act, 1881,” I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby order
and declare that the reserve made for public recreation in the
Land District of Wellington, and known as the Rangiwahia
Recreation-ground, and described in the Schedule hereto,
shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation
of and declared to be subject to the provisions of “The
Public Domains Act, 1881”; and such domain shall here-
after be managed, administered, and dealt with in manner
directed by the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Wellington Land District,
containing by admeasurement 10 acres, more or less, being
Section No. 61, Township of Rangiwahia. Bounded on the
north by Wairaki Street; on the east by Kawhatau Street;
on the south by Otamakapua Street; and on the west by
Maungawharariki Street: as the same is delineated on the
plan deposited in the District Survey Office, Wellington.
