NOTICE OF INTENTION TO EXTEND HEAD OF
WATER-RACE No. 301, 4/6/78; RENEWAL No. 304,
4/6/93.
Wakatipu District, 22nd January, 1895.
To the Mining Registrar at Queenstown of the Otago Mining
District, and all other persons whom it may concern.
TAKE notice that it is intended to extend the head of
my water-race No. 301, 4/6/78; renewal No. 304,
4/6/93, to divert and use water for mining purposes, com-
mencing at a point about 73 yards higher up Pleasant Creek,
Upper Shotover, than where its present registered head is
situated, and terminating at the present registered head of
said water-race No. 301, renewal No. 304.
The length of such extension is 73 yards or thereabouts,
and its intended course is east and west or thereabouts.
The mean depth of such race is 2ft., and the mean breadth
is 2ft. 6in.; and it is proposed to divert ten Government-heads
of water.
Cost of construction: £50.
Time required for construction: Seven days.
Number and date of miner's right: 18112; 1st September,
1894.

In the matter of "The Public Works Act, 1882," and amend-
ments thereof.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the
Council for the Borough of Picton (commonly called
"the Picton Borough Council"), on behalf of the Mayor,
Councillors, and Burgesses of the said borough, to take, for
the purpose of a public work, to wit, the widening of a certain
street in the said borough known as London Quay, all that
parcel of land, containing by admeasurement 9·08 perches,
be the same more or less, being parts of sections numbered
respectively 207 and 208 on the plan of the said borough,
commencing at the south-east corner of the said section
numbered 208, and proceeding thence in a westerly direc-
tion along the southern boundary-line of the said sections to
the corner of London Quay and Wellington Street, a dis-
tance of 255·7 links; thence in a north-westerly direction
along the south-west boundary of the said section numbered
207 for a distance of 58·3 links; and thence in a south-
easterly direction for a distance of 296·8 links to the com-
mencing-point: the said land being the property of Frank
Adams and George Herbert Adams, both of the Town of
Blenheim, Butchers.
A plan, prepared in compliance with the provisions of sub-
section (1) of section 10 of "The Public Works Act, 1882," is
deposited at the office of the said Picton Borough Council.
All persons affected by the taking of the said land as afore-
said, or by this notice, are called upon to set forth in writing
any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said
work or to the taking of the said land, and to send such
writing to the said Picton Borough Council within forty
days from the 25th day of January, 1895.

WE, the undersigned, WILLIAM RITCHIE TILLICK and
HENRY FOXALL, both of Ida Valley, Farmers, do
hereby give public notice that the Partnership hitherto sub-
sisting between us in respect of Sections 2, 4, 8, 9, 10, 11, 5,
7, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17, 20, Block XVI., Blackstone Survey Dis-
trict, has been dissolved as from the 1st day of December,
1894. And we further give notice that the said William
Ritchie Tillick, as from the 1st day of December, 1894, has
owned and carried on the said Sections 2, 4, 8, 9, 10, 11 on
his own account, and will receive all moneys and pay all
debts in respect thereof; and that as from the 1st day of
December, 1894, the said Henry Foxall has owned and
carried on the said Sections 5, 7, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17, 20 on his
own account, and will receive all moneys and pay all debts
in respect thereof.
