despatch to places served by the railway, the sheep will
be charged at the classified rates for single-floor trucks,
whether conveyed in single- or double-floored trucks.
"I hereby undertake, in consideration of sheep consigned
by me by rail in double-floored trucks being charged at the
single-floor truck rates, to forward by rail all sheep des-
patched by me to places served by the railway."
Store Cattle and Sheep, in Large Mobs, for 100 Miles and
upwards.

For distances of 100 miles and over, cattle and sheep,
certified by the consignor to be bond fide store stock, not
consigned for slaughter, will be charged for the first 100
miles 50s. per truck for the first thirteen trucks, and for
each additional truck 30s. For each additional mile, 3d.
per truck per mile will be charged. For distances under 100
miles, the charge as for 100 miles will be made if lower than
at classified rates.

Road-metal for Local Bodies.

Road-metal, scoria, boulders, shingle, gravel, and other
materials for road-making, consigned to public bodies, in lots
of not less than 10 tons, carried at the convenience of the
Railway Department, will be charged at half the classified
rates for Class Q; minimum charge, 1s. 9d. per ton.
The Railway Department may require loading or unloading
to be done by the owner. For each loading or unloading done
by the department 1s. per ton will be charged. When crannage
is charged for or provided 6d. per ton only will be charged
for each loading or unloading done by the department.

PART IV.—GOODS: LOCAL RATES.

NAPIER-TARANAKI AND WELLINGTON SECTIONS.

Class M.

The local rates for sheep to Petone, Ngahauranga, and
Wellington, via Eketahuna, from Hastings, Kaikora, Wai-
pukurau, Takapau, and Tahoraita, are hereby cancelled.
Goods of Class M, consigned to Johnsonville, Wellington,
Ngahauranga, and Petone Stations, from stations between
New Plymouth and Wanganui, inclusive, will be charged as
follows for the Government portion of the journey:—
Single-floor trucks, and double-floor trucks charged at
single-floor truck rates, 4s. per truck less than the classified
rates; double-floor trucks, except as herein specified, 7s. 6d.
per truck less than the classified rates: but the rates from
stations south of Wanganui to the said stations must not
exceed the rates from Wanganui.

WESTPORT SECTION.

Timber, consigned for export, will be charged as follows:—

Coal and coal-dross, consigned to Westport, will be charged
1s. 10d. per ton for distances not over eight miles, and for
each additional mile or part of a mile 3d. per ton will be
charged; minimum quantity, 5 tons per truck. This charge
includes weighing and discharging from the coal-staiths on
coal for export.
The following rates for coals and coal-dross are hereby
cancelled:—
Mokihinui to Westport, 3s. 6d. per ton.
Waimangaroa Branch Line to Westport, 2s. 3d. per ton.

out administration, the Public Trustee has filed in
the office of the Supreme Court at Wellington an election
to administer the several intestate estates of the persons

grazing-runs will be open for lease, on application at
this office, on and after Wednesday, the 27th day of March,
1895, at the annual rentals noted below.

RAGLAN COUNTY, PARISH OF KARAMU.

Run No. 1, 1,214 acres; annual rent, £30 7s.
Run No. 2, 1,829 acres; annual rent, £45 14s. 6d.
Run No. 4, 1,296 acres; annual rent, £32 8s.
Run No. 5, 611 acres; annual rent, £15 5s. 6d.
Run No. 6, 986 acres; annual rent, £24 13s.
Run No. 7, 969 acres; annual rent, £24 4s. 6d.

Situated from two to four miles from Whatawhata, and
about ten miles from Raglan, and comprising nearly all
broken forest land, of limestone formation and of good
quality. The runs will make good grass country when
cleared.
