Application to the Valiation Court under "The Ntive Land (Valiation of Titles) Act, 1893."

IN THE VALIATION COURT,
HELDEN AT GISBORNE.

In the matter of the Kourateuwhi No. 1 Block.

a. ANDREW REEVE, of Tolago Bay, shee-farmer,
applies for the validation of the interests purchased
by him, as appears by the coneyance hereinafter mentioned,
in all thatparcel of land situate in the Gisbore Ntive Land
Court District, containing by admeasurment 590 acrs,
more or less, being the land known as the Kourateuwhi
No. 1 Block.

b. The applicat deires to appear before the Valiation
Court at Gisbore on Monday, the 18th day of November,
1895, at the hour of half-past 10 o'clock in the forenoon, or
so soon thereafer as this application can be heard.

c. The nature of the transaction proposed for validation is
a deed of coneyance, beaing date the 28th day of Decem-
ber, 1882, for the total consideraion of £83, executed by the
following Maori alieors—Karaoria Pahura, Arapera Pahura,
Rairi Karaha, Ani Krimana, Hori Mokoea, Hami Pua,
Hori Krimana, Hira Ruihaunga, Tare Krimana, Raha
Kahupaa, Hataraka Ragi, Harata Makur, Hoha
Kawhea, Hera Keru, Pera Kapotaiha, Haua Karini, and
Tamaati Hautapu— in favour of the applicat.

d. The interest in land which is intended to be alieated
by the said coneyance is the fee-simle of the whole of the
interests in the said block of the above-mentioned Maori
alieors, and the title to the said block of the said alieors
at the time of the said alieation was a certificate of title,
dted the 18th day of July, 1881, issued in favour of ninty-
four owners.

e. The applicat seek to obtain through the aid of the
Court an estate in fee-simle in the said land.

f. The applicat came to be investd with the title he now
holds through the said deed of coneyance.

g. The address for service of the applicat is at the office
of Mesrs. Nola and Skeet, solictors, off Gladstone Road,
Gisbore.

h. The applicat deires that copies of this application
shall be served upon such of the aforesaid Maori alieors as
are living, and upon the representatves of such of them as
are decesed.

by admeasurment 30 acrs (more or less), being
the land comprised in confirmed leae No. 52,
to Joseph Copeand, and subseqently trans-
ferred to Mary Ann Gant, wife of James Gant,
of Hawera, farmer.

Whereas the above-named Mary Ann Gant
has given notice to me, under the proviions of
section 8 of "The West Coast Settlemnt Re-
serves Act, 1892," that she deires to obtain
under that section a new leae of the land
above described; and I consider her application
ought to be given effect to: Now, therefore, I do
hereby appoint a meeting to take place between
the said Mary Ann Gant and all the Ntive
owners of the above-described land, for the pur-
pose of fixing the rent to be paid for the said
land for the first twety-oe years of the new
leae; and I fix Davidson's Hall, Hawera, as the
place where, and Friday, the 8th day of No-
vember, 1895, at 11 o'clock in the forenoon, as the
time when, such meeting shall take place.

MEETING to be held at the COURTHOUSE,
PATEA, at 2 o'clock p.m. on Monday, the 11th
NOVEMER, 1895, to fix the RENT for a NEW
LEAE to GORGE Vater Pearce of Subdivi-
sion 10 of Otoia Ntive Resere, Block III.,
CARLYLE, containing 171 acrs (more or less),
being Land comprised in Confirmed Leae
No. 8.

TO Tuta, Te Whetu Ramapiupi, Ngaota
Ramapiupi, Ngaikiriki Ramapiupi, T-
maahero, Hiehau (trustee, Tuta Wao-
nui), Te Kae, Tuhia Rongimourihau, Ngaota,
Tupito, Tewhetu, Kopokope, and the other Ntive
owners of all that piece of land situate in the
Carlyle Surve District, being Subivision 10 of
Otoia Ntive Resere, Block III., and known as
"Whakpaiho," and containing by admeasur-
ment 171 acrs (more or less), being the land
comprised in confirmed leae No. 8 to George
Vater Pearce, Farer, Kakaamea, Taramaki.

Whereas the above-named George Vater Pearce
has given notice to me, under the proviions of
section 8 of "The West Coast Settlemnt Re-
serves Act, 1892," that he deires to obtain
under that section a new leae of the land
above described; and I consider his application
ought to be given effect to: Now, therefore, I do
hereby appoint a meeting to take place between
the said George Vater Pearce and all the Ntive
owners of the above-described land, for the
purpose of fixing the rent to be paid for the
said land for the first twety-oe years of the
new leae; and I fix the Courthouse, Patea, as
the place where, and Monday, the 11th day of
November, 1895, at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, as
the time when, such meeting shall take place.
